The way I see it, their priority was making a great game to rival the Arkham games......doubt they were even thinking about making a movie based on that game. Plus at that time I doubt that Spider-Man was even decided on as the character.....Insomniac could have chosen Wolverine to start with for instance. So basically I don't think Sony's movie rights to Spider-man played any role in this.

Don't worry, as PS5's get restocked HFW will continue to chart.....same as Spider-Man MM. It will have long legs......the original HZD also had the same issue due to Breath of the Wild's shadow and went on to great success.

Also if I remember correctly, Phil and Co said the lack of content for the final years of the Xbox One generation was due to them putting all their focus on 'next gen' correct?
