@EpsilonTeam
Quote from the video bro "This is a technical demo trailer of real-time physically-based rendering on current generation consoles. The contents in the video are not related to our developing titles at all."
Regardless, tech demo =/= actual game.
Yeah, the latter half of your comment. I'm an Uncharted traditionalist. I was semi-trolling just because I found my remark slightly clever.
In all seriousness, I'm waiting on the beta before I give my thoughts. Anyone who is saying it's amazing or it's horrible at this point is out of place. My big fear, as is everyone's, is that the changes will promote a selfish play-style and attract that certain fan-base. ND needs to actively make design choices that ...
I wish I could rewind their game design choices for MP.
Yes I am aware. I only used Gears because it was the most relevant.
Look at it this way, Uncharted 2 was nothing like CoD. Uncharted 3 seems to be MORE like CoD. Unless they justify these changes well, and unless they work amazing within the changes to gameplay, they are unfounded and unneeded. They are there to appeal to the huge CoD fanbase. Case closed. EXHIBIT A: KILLZONE 3... and how did that horrendous game turn out?
The 2v2v2 deathmatch is called Wingman on Gears -- not original. So far all I see is the same old Uncharted + CoD customization. Just like every other game ever. Sprint + Loadouts? Might as well add killstreaks.
Add destructible cover, and dynamically changing maps. Then you'll have me interested.
This may mean the new handhelds. It may mean a Mass Effect facebook game.
That thing is huge.
Oh god, satire is above the intellectual capacity of most N4G users.
huurrr durrrr blame teh xbox hurrr
I want SSM to work on a new IP.
My most wanted feature is compelling gameplay.
I'd like to know the R3 beta date, but I don't necessarily think that counts as a "special" announcement.
Stig seems like a pretty straightforward down-to-earth type of person in a couple of interviews I've seen. I don't think he would necessarily fluff up or mislead fans. He seemed adamantly clear that SM was done with GoW for a while.
If there is any GoW game in production, it's for the NGP.
Misleading title is misleading.
This isn't necessarily true. A jump to a conclusion if you ask me.
SPOILERS
At the end of AC:B you see the Phrygian Cap and Masonic Eye, which could reference the French Revolution (Which took place a few years after ours)
This review has some EGREGIOUS ERRORS. How does Killzone 3 in anyway merit such a high score?
MP issues:
Frame rate consistently dips below 30fps e.g. Akmir Snowdrift/Salamun Market.
Frame rate drop gives way to poor hit detection and hit registration in general.
Lack of dedicated servers. I'm running on a 20 megabit connection through Ethernet and it still lags.
Map count and map gametype variety is ins...
Hurr Durr. I bet not only that I have played more of that multiplayer, but that I'm significantly better than you in every regard. Believe me when I say its a horrendous, poorly designed, poor executed MP. There is no excuse. Y U SO MAD
Everything.
@limewax
Correlation is not causation. JRPGs are mostly stagnant messes with no innovation or understanding of audiences out their niche (I'm not talking about the philosophy of whether they need to be.)
I'd say the opposite, they'll have even less influence or importance next time around.
Sounds like someone is not winning.
"Killzone 3 was a successful venture for the talented team at Guerrilla Games."
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Looking forward to new IP.
