Activisions new slogan: "Hey, at least we aren't EA."
*Jaw slowly drops*
I once thought I knew the definition of greed but EA is really doing all it can to being a Full Metal Alchemist enemy.
To those who know what i'm talking about, I adore you.
We can all take pride in this.
Why would I as a gamer be worried about another platforms release? Does it have games? It does? Cool!
Unfortunately that'll be the case (considering Star Wars is a massive appeal). However, that being said. EA won't walk away from this unscathed.
As long as those who are informed don't give in and give money to this - they themselves can know they did what they could, they voted with their wallet.
Some of the best selling games as of late are generally destructive to the gaming industry in terms of value. Be it Destiny (it's designed to of...
Buy this, you shouldn't.
@Gh05t
Oh, I know he sucks. lol
Shhh, don't give EA any ideas. They love easy money.
Truth is valued, but truth doesn't need to be supplemented in an offensive manner. If he's apologizing, he clearly was told to smarten up because every sale counts (or perhaps he actually realized he was being rude).
"The downvotes are in, and the launch of Star Wars Battlefront II looks like the biggest screw-up since engineers on the Death Star decided it needed an exhaust port."
This is how I already know I like this writer.
"Forget for a minute the talk of loot boxes, pay-to-win, and level-locked heroes, and understand that Star Wars Battlefront II rights so many wrongs created by the first attempt to bring back the storied game series that all of that can easily be overlooked."
I'm going to place ankle weights on you for this race. Now, when the race starts, I want you to fully enjoy your surroundings. You'll have a blast! We've made this race so much better. And don'...
"Some players may grumble at EA’s decision to include the ability to purchase crates in the game, and even with the option to buy crystals with real money, to purchase crates. Such mechanics have become a main criticism of free-to-play games, and are usually not a welcome addition to AAA game titles like Battlefront II, but from what I have gathered, the items in the crates are the same thing that you can also obtain from playing. Yes, some players might take the shortcut of buying these...
Someone just got a nice bonus.
Which is good, because they'll need it to put towards unlocking those loot boxes.
Oh no that must've been a hard decision to make... with all that potential revenue now sliced down.
But hey, you can take pride in it. *rolls eyes
Here's the dirt. ----
Here's the Devil's den ----
Here's loot boxes / microtransactions ----
And here's to those who issue death threats ----
Those who issue death threats bring as much value into this life as a loot box behind a paywall.
To clarify, they hold no value. Don't issue death threats - you only make yourself look like a tool.
"You think."
Enough said.
20% ?!
Oh, sorry. I just noticed my phone needs to be charged.
I'll save my $$$ and self respect, and play games that actually deserve attention from developers who don't treat us as money bags.
Thanks.
@FlameWater
The one's pointing out the flaws of loot boxes/microtransactions are not the same one's feeding the beast, that bs comparison doesn't work in this regard. The fact is EA went and turned Battlefront 2 into a PTW experience - and while that will bring them in an absurd amount of revenue, they in turn alienate gamers and give the entire industry a dreary future.
If their goal is to make millions upon millions until people walk away en...
Lol if we come across unused cut scenes and Versus assets.
