Indeed, code optimization is an important part of games. High system requirements don't mean better graphics necessarily. The fact that consoles get better graphics over time with the same hardware is a testament to this.
Yeah, because she's clearly biting off her thumb instead of just plain biting it. >.>
It does annoy me that some of the characters feel recycled, but I don't think it takes away from the overall experience. Unique characters like Balrog, Abel, Gen, and so on make it worth it.
People that bash SF4 are just afraid of change. People did the same thing to 3rd Strike back in the day, and if you pay attention, Super Turbo, 3rd Strike, and SF4 are all played in tourneys still. I don't think any of them are going anywhere. They're all great, unique games in their own rights.
Oh no, now a total of almost 1% of the L4D fan base has boycotted L4D2! Whatever will Valve do?
I played the first game back in the day, and I don't remember ever having problems getting the punch I wanted. When I tried the demo for this one, I kept doing wrong punches like crazy. Plus, after playing UFC, I felt really spoiled with how well the controls in that game work.
Yup, Kushan is right. Windows will recognize the 360 pad and grab the drivers for you no problem. It's quite handy, as not every game works well with a mouse and keyboard.
Makes me glad I just bought a PSP last week.
What I hate Activision for is whoring out the Call of Duty name to another developer. I would have been perfectly fine with Treyarch making their own WW2 games, as they're certainly good games, but I don't think they deserve the CoD name.
Ditto, I've been interested in the game, and a demo will definitely help me decide.
That's a darn shame. There's really no excuse for that.
Because us Americans prefer to stay home and sit on our butts =(
I'm not happy. I'm angry! Hulk smash!
All kidding aside, it's good to see Forza improving on its already successful formula.
If Kojima made a true MGS on PS1, you can be darn sure he can make a true MGS on the PSP. It's all in the creativity, not the power of the system.
I haven't played one since '03. Why are the reviews still so high if they went pooh? I've been considering getting this one.
Ditto, I've been anticipating it for quite some time now.
Agreed.
Most of them are going to buy the game like sheep anyway.
I'll never understand why EU always gets the shaft on JRPGs >.<
Also, an anime would be quite nice.
I really don't see a problem with a studio having one franchise, as long as the big companies don't try to capitalize on the franchise by pumping out a game every single year. I'd say a great game every 2 or 3 years from a good franchise is a great thing for us gamers.
Diversity is a nice thing, as long as the quality doesn't take a hit. I also disagree about Resistance and R&C, though. Maybe they're not gigantic franchises, but they're still great games in their own rights. ...
It may be easy to pick up and play, but it also has a lot of depth in the end-game content that not everyone can handle. That's what makes it so popular, as it covers both ends of the spectrum.
But if EQ never proved that a MMORPG can work, who knows where the genre would be today.
