I'll have to disagree... because the Wii U controller has to be within a specific range in order to work with the system. I play games from work on my Vita. The fact that I can use it in a number of locations no matter how close or far I am is what makes it worth it. Now, if you mean while in the same room then there is no reason to have the vita connected because you can use a normal controller.

It's not about beating the first three. They were inspired by the first three games and other recent games to create something that was true to the RE roots yet different and new for the series. "Back to the roots" doesn't always mean that a game is going to be exactly like the past games... it means that the game will feel and play a lot like (<- these two keywords) the old survival horror games. You're actually wrong. They did increase the resolution but they also made sure that those who are still using 1080p and below are getting a performance upgrade as well. That's why people are talking about various graphics settings because if you don't have a 4K situation then you can still utilize the upgrade in performance due to the upgraded CPU and GPU
