What reasons are those besides the whole business thing? I do recall an article quoting a developer saying that the tools that they already have can easily be executed on the PS3.

Although the PS3 version looked nice, the PC port with the right hardware will leave it far in the dust. Already tried the benchmark and got incredible results. Can't wait for the game.
You've never played Ridge Racer 7? Wasn't it a launch title? Wipeout HD is able to achieve that performance as well. Either way, R&C is one hell of a good looking game with some ridiculously high res textures.
