Anybody who deserves to be called a gamer should be allowed to play all the games they can. If Mass Effect comes out for the PS3 then that would be a fantastic thing. Although I played the first and it didn't really appeal to me, anybody else who wants it shouldn't be called out.
There are times that I wonder how games from 1st party Sony devs turn out if they were developed for other platforms.
The older PS2s are called PS2 phat (or fat. It's all just fanmade anyway). So I guess it's somewhat appropriate to call the older PS3 models PS3 phats as well.

Poor lighting? In another video I watched, the lighting was much superior compared to the 360 version which didn't even show shadows.
