Because it's more than new characters. It's new stages and moves on top of tons of fixes/balances made to the game. Not to mention if they released it as DLC then it would cost the same (or more) as releasing the game on a disc. So you would still pay the same price (if not more).
So I have no problem buying UMvC3 especially since Phoenix Wright is in. Besides, a need another fighting game now that MK has a lot of problems online (not to mention stupid compatibility packs where if one person doesn't have them in a KotH room then nobody can use that DLC character).
I'll be getting the superior PS3 version as it stays locked at 60fps unlike the 360 version.

There are better downloadable games that are cheaper.
Then again, I won't be playing Limbo until PS+ offers it for free anyways.
So FF13-2 will be the new standard for how crappy a RPG can be? It's gonna have some tough competition with FF13, Lost Odyssey & Vesperia.

Looks like it flopped. I guess I'll pass on this. Didn't really like the art style anyways but I thought it would at least be better. No need to wait on the PC release now.

From the title I thought this would just be an Angry Birds clone but I was wrong. This actually looks really fun.

I'd be surprised if I even get to the story with all the stuff there is to do in Saints Row 3. It's not like GTA4 where there is really nothing to do but side missions, boring mini-games, and the story. Saints Row 3 allows you to make your own fun which is even better since you can go through co-op with a friend.
I'll get Limbo as soon as PS+ offers it for free otherwise I won't even bother playing it.

I wouldn't consider the costumes as "free DLC" as it's more like an optional patch. The ONLY reason they give free costumes with compatibility packs is so more people will download them. Playing online against a person who doesn't have the compatibility packs = you not being able to play a character online that you paid for. MK9 is the worst fighting game when it comes to downloadable characters. The compatibility packs should be a required patch.

This video was obviously made by some butthurt PC fanboy. Saints Row ran like crap on PC compared to GTA4 but the core GTA4 experience sucks compared to Saints Row.
The only reason PC fanboys like GTA4 more is because Saints Row runs like crap on PC and they have mods for GTA4 otherwise the game would be boring as hell with nothing to do except drive around on ice and take your man dates out to play tedious mini-games.
