I really like the combat mechanic in Demon Souls. I remember there being endurance in Oblivion, but I never had to really watch my strength in that game. In Demon Souls I had to be very careful not to waste my strikes and plan for defense. I hope the next Elder Scrolls is more like that.

Also it would be fun if the third person camera was actually usable.

Lastly, bringing in a friend for co-op would be epic, as long as the difficulty scaled (I doubt they can ...

@K-Lan

Your comment history does not do much to campaign against that assumption.

I initially thought this would be awesome to have, but realistically, I do not see it coming in at a price that makes it worth purchasing.

It will probably be more expensive, or at least just as expensive as a 3DTV. You lose the ability to play local co-op or watch TV with other people, which is a major detriment. The device will also be either wired or wireless, both having their own disagvantages. I'm assuming it is wireless with some sort of broadcast unit for TV and ...

It's title is an obvious rip-off of COD though, and that was a huge mistake, imo. Now it is definitely going to get destroyed in reviews and even conversations between gamers since their marketing department wants to make it sound like Modern Warfare even though it is going to fall extremely short of that series. They should have named it something completely different and avoided the comparison altogether.

If this is a Move only game it could be kind of cool. Good to see...

@xYokox

What the hell are you doing? Not only does your original comment make no sense since poop was obviously trying to troll with his comment about Uncharted (starting the subsequent rantings and disproving your allegation of UC lovers in Gears and TC articles), but you top every other person trolling by slamming UC in an unrelated article.

Do you know what a hypocrite is?

@captain-obvious

Yeah that 0.22 moment is weird. I remember the exact same scene in an earlier trailer but with an ISA dude standing there. I wonder if this is like a full circle moment or if they changed something in the game after the initial trailer.

That is idiotic.

Is that really what you want? Multiplats and 2 sequels a year? There is no way I would choose to own a 360 over a PS3 for those reasons. It sounds to me like you're just settling for what you have.

People used to buy consoles for the games. Somehow it seems like the choice is now Xbox Live vs Exclusives.

MS needs to get their sh!t together or PSN will match XBL next gen and MS will not be able to compete with Sony. They ...

FarCry 2 was a terrible game, imo. I don't know why the author says the plot was 'thought provoking,' because it was idiotic and totally unbelievable.

I can't think of a single redeeming quality about the game except that the world was fairly well built, you could shoot your buddy in the face, and they tried (but failed horribly) at creating an infinitely replayable multiplayer by allowing players to build maps.

Everything else about the gam...

@Best

That is a very poor prediction. Any hacking will have a minimal effect on the PS3 and it definitley won't cause it to "Die out".

Piracy ran rampant on the PS2 and it was still hugely successful. I'm guessing you don't know what a mod chip or HD Loader are.

Online play is a huge factor this generation so needing to access PSN has made piracy even less worth it. If you want to play online you're going to need a ...

The best zombie game I played was with my brother in the same room (on a separate PS3) and 2 guys playing split screen. My brother and I have the same experience as split screen, but with the advantage of having our own consoles and TVs (I bring my stuff when I go over to visit).

The reason I had the best game ever was because the main player was a zombie killing machine with a lot of experience (proven by his strategies), while his guest was an almost completely incompetent ...

The thing I hated most about GTA IV were the characters. I didn't like many of them and most of the time nothing ever came of them. For example, nothing is ever resolved with your first girlfriend...she just disappears from the game forever, and is only used to open new missions up. I would have at least liked a mission where you determined her fate, or even just encountered her again.

The ending is also manipulative and that mission was actually broken when I played it ...

In my opinion the game was just okay. It was better than I had expected, but playing it wasn't actually that fun.

The most annoying things were fishing, which was completely broken (but luckily only required once) and the text missions. I fell asleep reading those stupid lines of text. The short story during the replay of the game was at least interesting, but it would have been a whole lot better if I got to play as the character that it was about rather than replay the...

**SPOILERS**

Most of those things could be argued away. For example, Madison was obviously dreaming the attack on herself, which was a symptom of her insomnia. It was also a clever way to have a second, more stressful tutorial for the combat in the game.

And the inconsistencies of Shelby as a character are actually more believable in my opinion. Apparently 'Sarcastic Gamer' would have preferred a two dimensional psycho killer over a person who makes i...

I had Linux and I actually enjoyed the feature. I got to mess around with the OS (which I had almost never used) and got NES and SNES emulators running with my Sixaxis and had almost beaten Chrono Trigger (a game I never played).

I was pretty disappointed by the removal of Other OS, but it was the hackers that forced Sony to remove it anyway. I feel like this hacking is such a pointless exercise at this point. Sony will just keep updating the firmware and the online play and ...

Yeah I loved the Deus Ex trailer. A lot of references to Blade Runner, which is one of my favorite movies.

Can't wait for that game to come out.

I love what happens when you replay.

I've been trying to avoid spoilers so I haven't watched gameplay videos or seen many screenshots beyond a few announcement things.

The thing being shot at looks remarkably like the vehicles from Resistance.
