Unfortunately I have a feeling it'll still do very well despite all of this. Personally I had the opportunity to preorder mine for release, but didn't bother, but someone else took it no problem.
Just can't see this being a big deal like they're trying to make it to be, my friends and family and I have always just played Nintendo games locally.
Yeah well UK £75 converts to $95.
I was so disappointed by my steam deck's display, IPS glow and everything, only for them to bring out the OLED a year or so later. So like with pro model consoles, I now know to wait for the OLED models for handhelds.
At least Steam deck has a nice UI. Been sick of that basic Switch theme for years and they've not even bothered to change it.
I feel like people aren't talking enough about the storage situation. It kind of has been overshadowed by the prices.
Disappointing but not surprising
I hope you're right.
Good point
Oof, can't even use your larger switch 1 SD cards for all those older titles. Most people will settle for a lower capacity newer card.
I just saw this on the treehouse live video and it was so boring. What were they thinking?
Ah yeah true.
Amazon are doing some kind of invite thing, I've never seen that before. It has taken too long to combat scalpers. I couldn't find a PS5 for like a year.
I was put off by this at first with how those titles are a paid upgrade and PS4 pro did it for free, but looks like you're getting some extra content at least. And it is confirmed that a some titles are getting free updates for better Switch 2 performance.
Thing is, all remasters are lazy cash grabs anyway. Emulation is all you need.
Here I thought I'd never have to be reminded of that slop again
Here in the UK TOTK was going for £40, it wasn't overpriced at all.
I might also cross that bridge for Yakuza games too.
Wow, that's certainly news
Here in the UK the Switch 1 enhanced games are the same price as DK Bananza, £65. And I'm sure I read that those were the games that weren't even on the card. So far I've not seen any other game hitting that ridiculous Mario Kart price.
