do you really think that's the likely scenario? Series G/X is on pace to sell 42 mil units in 5 years. Even with the Bugthesda and ABK buyouts, 10mil at best might switch/buy both. I hate industry consolidation but it makes sense if MS' real end goal is eventually going 3rd party with a subscription service. Hardware is turning into an albatross. These acquisitions only leverage the Xbox division enough time for another hardware refresh. I have no doubt the Nxtbox will be their last i...

only problem though - Starfield is a copy/paste job like every other Bethesda game since that hack Todd Howard pushed Ken Rolston out the door. He couldn't handle the man actually responsible for Morrowind getting the credit he deserves. Todd is a bigger dickhead than the Houser brother left in charge of GTA6

I have no doubt Starfield on Steam will be the bigger success. I have no doubt BG3 will be the better game.

flawlessly written. Spend your money elsewhere where it's needed. Only downside, MS is trying to dictate what we play and limiting choice in the end by courting a whole demographic that can't afford the hobby. I hope it doesn't bleed over to Sony and Nintendo's side

In addition, no free copies provided to the site. Reviewers pay just like consumers. I never pre-order, rarely buy day 1's so a late review like this would be infinitely better than early, bought PR. Armed with this knowledge and the reviewer's trophy list and time spent reviewing it, we'd get some real info for a change.

Remember when media sites were saying the G was comparable to a PS5? It wasn't funny then but it sure is NOW!

Pretty much what they've always done with the exception of Witcher 3, only competent launch title from CDPR. I told people before the Cyber launch to expect this:

Witcher 1 janky as hell. Blamed it on Atari's DRM. Reworked game to rereleased fanfare. Tons of issues remain but considered hidden diamond in the rough.
Witcher 2 modernized the aesthetic, employed a 3rd person view instead of an isometric camera but combat still felt ancient point and clicky. A...

60 million less than PS4 or Switch last gen. 21 million total this gen with over half being the series G console. 38 mil PS5 vs. <10mil Series X. 6yr old Switch outsold Series G/X in same timeframe. Wut happened to all the talk of the "BEAST"?

Thank god consumers haven't fallen for this garbage subscription model this gen. What's even more humorous? All this publisher talk about moneyhatting Bethesda and ABK has disguised the fact none of the existing...

thank you S2K. The elephant in the room is this is a dev whose IP has NO audience on console whatsoever. So of course it's good business to take money where there is none to be made and the hundred players on console who are interested can play it for free. Fuckin idiot.

Yeah just too bad Uncle Philly decided to court trailer park folk with the series G. Now I own a $500 potato capable of playing 1st party exclusives at 30 FPS. Xclown fucktards parrot scalability yet here we are. Chess? Might seem that way to the uneducated but it's really just checkers

so basically besides actually squashing the bugs they'll fill out the lifeless planets with content? Sounds just like every other 1s and 0s that hack Todd Howard ever took credit for

darth - thanks for furthering my point. It sold 9 million, the same as the Saturn. Funny how you glossed over that system's failure as Sony pressuring developers to stop developing for it. Pretty sure it's selling 9 MILLION CONSOLES a fucking gen will do that to ya. Due to the haphazard design and shadow launch of the Saturn it failed miserably outside Japan, selling 4 million globally. Retailers and developers were caught off guard. So they took their time next round. But the Dreamc...

well maybe if Sega hadn't shot themselves in the foot, companies would have had the confidence to release wares for their machine. They canned the Genesis early in the States when it was outselling the SNES. They tried to get their customer base to buy an add-on as the next big thing instead of a hardware refresh. Then they shadowdrop new hardware at an E3 event. Sega killed themselves long before Sony entered the scene. I loved the Dreamcast but stop with the revisionist history. It sold...

Starfield will be an intriguing upcoming scenario. Skyrim sold a whopping 60 million across all platforms. Starfield could be wonderful yet sell a third of that. Toss out Sony and Nintendo platforms (I doubt even Switch Too can handle this CPU intensive game) and include it free with a GP sub on Xbox/PC and MS might only sell 20mil lifetime on Steam/Xbox. What will the jump in sales for Xbox hardware/GP subs be for the launch month? Will they offset those aforementioned losses enough to placa...

that Driver demo in the Playstation mag was bloody brilliant too. As well as Tony Hawk Pro's skater. It was just the 1st level but damn if it wasn't played a thousand times that night. In fact I remember playing both demos all night with mates when they got previewed

may have been revealed there but I had it wishlisted on PS5 long before the show. It's the only way I can keep up with games that initially look intriguing to me. More trailers later on and gameplay vids whittle down the list but it's funny seeing something slip through the cracks like Hellraid on Steam. Watched it transform from a new IP with almost no info into DLC for Dying Light put a smirk on my face many moons later

they'll coast by just like Sony and MS did this gen with enhanced ports of last gen games and a new Mario. Seems gens died when the pro models launched in 2017 and companies use backward compatibility to hide a lack of content creation. I mean we've been heading that direction awhile now but at least we can pinpoint a timeframe. Switch Too will continue the trend no doubt

They have over 25 games in development, 13 of which are new IPs. Don't worry, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, DP, Guerilla, Santa Monica, and Sucker Punch are all world class studios and will release bangers throughout the gen. Bungie has been a premier multiplayer dev for the past 15 years. I have never suffered any game droughts like on MS (Xbox 1) and Nintendo systems (WiiU) on PS consoles. Even PS Vita had over 1700 games for it. Honestly, only Sony can answer your question though. I can ju...

But Rockstar will improve their game. Bugthesda and that hack Todd Howard will force PC modders to finally fix their game while porting it to toasters & smart fridges in the interim
