Clearly Sony needed to pack more GDDR5 RAM 8GB wasnt enough.
16GB or maybe 32GB would have given us the results, nvm the GPU or the CPU those are unrelated.

1. With reference to the 512mb comment. You are comparing a OS that is ment to do alot of things, with a console OS that does almost nothing, not even cross game chat.
2. Console optimzation is blown out of proportion, 8800GTX released during the time of the consoles. Its about 2.5x the power of consoles. In the real world Consoles run most of their games in 720p while 8800GTX runs games at 1080p. So the difference is 2x. So where is the console opti...
They do give that choice, just that its limited to the PC.
Consoles are ment to be one size fits all remember, so no choice.
7850 is easily capable of playing BF3 at 1080p at 60fps. Maybe not maxed out, but very close to maxing out. Still way ahead of any console.

The solution is retarded. What happens when my PS3 fails? Do i keep rebuying the PS3? and what happens over multiple gens? do you expect me to have a PS2 still too? So now am i expected to keep rebuying PS2 and PS3 while having a PS4.

Its amazing how many people are whining about Bc yet are unwilling to do anything about it. Get a Pc for multiplats and a console for exclusives. Problem solved.
90% games are multiplat anyways. Buying them on Pc ensures BC and cheaper cost. Since PC has no gens BC is never a problem. No longer have to worry about not being able to play games you bought for thousands of usds.

PS4 is 9 months away. By the time it releases the same 500usd will fetch you 30-40% more power.
This one already comes with Specs that Rival or beat the PS4.

Killzone only uses 1.5gigs of VRAM. Hence they didnt even use the 4GB originally avaialble. Giving it more RAM wont do anything.
RAM isnt used in any sort of calculations. Its just a storage medium. If there already is enough of it, giving more wont do anything.
Technically the PS4 doesnt exist either. Asides the controller that is.

Depends on what you mean by "Better Spec", if a slimmer version is what you are thinking, then thats not a better Spec. Its just shrunk down.
The Spec will remain constant for the life of the console. Dont get your hopes up for a upgrade.
Consoles by nature are expensive and ment for the masses. While people may be thinking they are cheap Sony and MS are probably laughing all the way to the bank. Selling cheap hardware for a premium.
By the time these Systems are out any 200usd PC GPU will be running circles around them.
Meanwhile console makers are probably making up schemes to sell HD remakes of games they already sold last gen.
1. You dont need top of the line PC to beat a PS4. Mid range PCs will do just that.
2. Mid range PCs that will out perform the PS4 will cost about 500-700usd, Hence if people cant afford that then they cant afford the PS4 either.
BTW PS4 games will cost more ever accounted for that? PCs games always tend to sell 10-20usd cheaper than console versions, Nevermind the Steam sales (those completely make console prices look like a rip off).

Sony cheaped out this gen.
With PS3 they went all out and that caused them to bleed. This gen they just want to build a cheap machine that they can milk from day one.
AMD was desperate since they are making losses anyways, Sonys pretty much in the same boat with endless losses. Hence both seem to be the right combo for each other.
Nvidia rather deal in profitable business ventures. The PC GPU market is quite profitable plus going for mobile ...

Let the games roll out, PC will always be ahead. Not saying the PS4 will be bad, however anyone thinking PS4 will come out ahead is only setting themselves up for disappointment.

Comparing a Tablet CPU to a Desktop CPU and cheering at the cores is laughable at best. AMD has 8 cores on their Desktop CPUs, The same 8 cores most of the time get beaten by 4 Core Intel CPUs even in heavily threaded applications, its barely a contest. PS4 and Xbox will essentially be low end PCs by the time they launch, you are setting yourself up for dissapointment if you think you will get ultra settings, be happy if they manage medium.

I wouldnt hold my breathe, people made the same claims for PS3. As the gen went on the games suffered with lower FPS instead of going higher.
EX: Farcry 3, Crysis 3, Skyrim, Mafia 2 etc.
Its simply due to devs pushing graphics further. Hence dont expect to see 60fps later on, if you dont see it now. History just has a way of repeating itself.
