The first 42 months of the ps4 sales ending long ago.
I hate these lists, it’s nothing but sequels when I’m more interested in new ideas.
That has nothing to do with comparing each consoles first 42 months of sales.
Read the article to see what they are comparing.
Switch is so much bigger in Japan, but just as big everywhere else.
I want this to be good, games like this i need to play to see how it feels.
“Remaster” is a marketing term for port, that’s it that’s all. Minor improvements don’t really change that, especially when it’s just configuration settings. Pc versions of games aren’t “remasters” and neither is a game that ran at 720p last gen that now runs at 1080p.
Really exposed the control over media google has, most people think it was just an Apple thing.
Headline makes it sound worse than it is.
@pitythefool Obviously you don’t know what you are talking about. Unless they start targeting the same resolution on both systems, what you are saying is pointless.
Let me explain it to you in a way you can understand. If you have a glass that holds a pint of water and one that holds 3, the one that holds 3 needs 3 times as much water to be full. To have both glasses full at the same time, the larger glass needs a bigger stream of water and more of it.
How so? As long as they keep targeting lower resolution it will be fine. 4K vs 1440p is a huge difference.
I understand all this stuff myself, I am also actually a software developer. 1440p vs 4K is a huge difference and takes much less bandwidth and overall gpu power. They can also lower settings a tad if they need to, I question the reaction here. I suggest the people who have no clue just sit back and wait, it will be obvious if the series s sucks... but on paper it looks fine as a machine that targets a max of 1440p and could have games running as low as 1080p. This article came from psu and ...
Not all of them are, and as software engineer myself I know many developers who have limited hardware knowledge.
I don’t think it’s enough, especially if the ps5 price is close. Remember most gamers went ps4, and these consoles play last gen games, it’s going to take a lot to make people switch.
the series s targets lower resolution, are you sure these are devs and not just suits who dont understand the difference between targeting 4k and 1440p? I wouldnt worry too much, the series s is targeted at casual gamers.
You dont have to have everything installed at once, but yes it is annoying.
I think they expect people to buy their expansion drives, kind of makes me lean towards ps5 which uses off the shelf nvme drives.
absolutely nothing supports that, its actually ridiculous to run games server side. Accessing the files remotely and processing client side might happen, but what we have now is just a no go. Even ethernet in home streaming is garbage, that should have been the end of it.
So far ps now didn’t need to be as good, let’s see how this all plays out. I personally hope ps now gets a better library, because why not? I also wish they would just forget about the streaming.
Don’t be bitter, the switch has wider appeal. You love the ps4 because it’s targeted at you, and there are more than enough people like you to make it super successful even if they can’t match the switch.
