Ion Fury is absolutely spectacular and well worth playing if you like 90's era shooters. Avoid all the drama and just play the game. It's packed full of funny jokes and references to find, as it should be.
I will definitely play this again. This was one of my first, if not my first M rated game when i was a kid!
This censorship is scary. I'm an artist and a lot of my work is adult so seeing cleavage and bikinis censored is seriously concerning. I decided to finally take the plunge and get a gaming PC and just get away from consoles and mobile gaming.
So much of my inspiration came from game art (I even went to college for game art and design!) so it deeply saddens me to see so much hostility to even mildly sexy art in gaming.
Why should the "think of the children" approach be applied to an adult game with a high level of violence? I think people should have enough faith in "the youth" to be able to distinguish the real-life consequences of smoking from a fictional game that's not meant for kids.
I learned about Hollow Knight from the Rule 34. I actually find quite a few games from the fan art! Fan art, including the lewd art, is a great way to find games with nice, active communities around them!
Wow, this is unexpected. I remember looking forward to this 15 years ago when I was playing KUF Heroes on the original Xbox. Good thing this is the first year I've tried playing PC games!
@Silly gameAr
Ryuko, the first character you see in the video above, is 17 according to the information I get looking it up and she is one in a skimpy outfit.
After looking it up it seems some of the characters are under 18. Ryuko and Mako are 17 while Nui is 16 and does appear to have the loli look. Other characters are 18. I don't know what Sony looks for when censoring, though.
Big thumbs up for informing us there is no censorship. I hope all publishers clarify these things in the future to avoid misinformation and confusion. I ordered the Switch Limited Edition!
I'm sure the PS5 will succeed just fine. I am questioning the decision to censor games, though. Having multiple games that are uncensored on Switch and PC is frustrating me since I tend to buy all my games on PS4/Vita.
I feel pressured to move to other platforms not just to get uncensored versions but also for the possibility that games that Sony could censor might move the Switch or PC altogether. I can no longer get by with just a Playstation console like I was, I...
I played Eiyuu Senki on the PS3 for a while. It was pretty fun but I didn't even get close to finishing it. Uncensored on PC sounds good to me!
This kind of thing upsets me to no end. I got into art and pursued a career in gaming because I loved the art in games. To see it watered down and censored just tears me up inside. I don't even recognize Blizzard anymore.I used to be so inspired by the art in many Blizzard games.
I think they add value not just to a game but to a platform. It's great to have a record of your achievements on whatever platform you play games on. I certainly feel there is something missing when a platform like the Switch doesn't have them.
I am very glad to see Nintendo take this stance. I hope this nudges Sony towards dropping their censorship policy. Rating boards and parental controls are there for a reason.
I was planning to buy this on Steam...
I came so close to backing this, I ended up choosing to back Bloodstained instead. I would be pretty upset if I backed this expecting a Steam release.
Making Epic Game Store exclusives out of games that were crowdfunded and already have Steam pages just upsets people. Is the backlash and lose of trust really worth this? I guess I can't blame Epic that much, any dev/pub signing deals now knows full well they wil...
I did buy the game on the PS4 a while ago but I don't play my PS4 much these days. I'm getting into PC gaming so I would be interested in buying it on Steam. Insulting people who don't like Epic is something that pushes me away, though.
PR really does matter. The responses from AOne and them blocking people is one of the reasons I don't want to use the EGS. There is so much negativity around it I just don't want to deal with. They even blocked me... Not ...
I had interest in playing this. PC gaming is something I'm very interested in and I'd love to play it on PC but Epic exclusivity is something I don't want to support.
Edit: Just read the tweets from the developer. No way I'm touching this game with how insulting they are being.
I think I'll check this out. I have not played a lot of adult games (I'm getting into some on Steam!) so maybe it's time to jump in!
I would prefer Sony allow the content in games that other platforms do instead of going over the rating boards and restricting games more than they already are. If the games are rated and can release on other platforms then they are not a problem. All Sony is doing is pushing some developers and part of it's audience to other platforms.
I'm planning to buy the game on Steam and I will be disappointed if it's censored there. If it is I'll wait until someone inevitably mods the changes back. On it's own this might not be a big deal but FFVIII is just one in a long line of recently censored games.
It's sad that a 20 year old 13+ rated game is being altered like this.
