We have to think realistic. The 3DS droppd at $250 during launch and the Wii-U has a lot more power, with much newer tech....it won't be the same price at launch. The system will be $300 to $350 as Nintendo already said it would be more than the Wii was. If it is pretty good tech inside then that's a reasonable price. The lack of a harddrive and Blueray help to keep the cost down. There is no need for an internal hardrive because people want the choice of picking whatever size they want at whatever cost they want.
Nintendo is doing the right thing by keeping retailers in the loop....they could have easily cut them out as middle men, but actually wanted to keep them involved. I hope retail stores appreciate this gesture and promote Nintendo products accordingly.

I personally don't think its draconian to lock games to one console. Yes, a game may have multiple save slots, but let's be realistic. You should deff buy this game......its a really good game, regardless if it isn't perfect as per some reviewers. This is the type of game that will keep you busy while enjoying the story. The motion controls worked very well in this game and anyone on the fence should go out and get it !
