Look at the actual comments on that page. Is it the official one? No. Are 80% of their fans aware of that? No. Hence it could still have a similar impact.
As I mentioned previously, I was writing guides for my website while I was playing the game. I completed 95% of the content with the exception of co-op and I very much doubt they add another 5-10 hours worth of content :D
You're speculating that games coming out won't beat this drivel. I guarantee you 3 months from now this game will be dead and buried. Dead Space did not become popular as an action game. That is not why everyone loved the first one, it is not the reason most people purchased 3.

The PC graphics are nothing short of awful. The lip sync and face appearances aren't even close to matching the par of current gen games.
Outside of the story the game offers repetitive combat, repetitive environments and for god sake, how many elevators do you need in a single game? Learn how to create distinct environments already.
Winner goes to Game Informer: Quite simply because nobody sober could play through Dead Space 3 and score it over a 9.
Another one of those games that suddenly explodes in popularity for some random reason.
You spend an hour running around a forest and then die. What's the appeal? :D
15-20 hours to complete the game? I completed it in 10 whilst writing guides and other content. 10 hours tops for a skilled player.
There is no struggle for survival. Sit in a corner, waste the Necromorphs and move on.
The optional quests are also a waste of time, contrary to what the review says. Hardly anything worthwhile at all, especially considering 2 of them have identical loot rooms with identical mob spawns.

1. It's February, see if you still think it's that good after the great releases coming this year.
2. The combat is repetitive, weapon customization is ruined by hardcaps
3. The same rooms are used over and over again in totally different areas of the game
4. The combat involves running into a corner that doesn't home a vent, kill everything, next ...
