I would have liked to say the whole TV thing is a distraction for MS, but Sony announced they're doing it too.
I know there's big money in subscription streaming (Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu ect), but I wish the console manufacturers would stick to games and let third parties provide streaming content.
Maybe games don't make them enough money any more?

I recently watched Final Fantasy - Spirits Within (CGI Animated movie), first released way back in 2001.
It got me thinking, I wish we had visuals that look that good on current consoles. FF - Spirits Within is 13 years old. FF - Advent Children comes to mind also.
After seeing the David Cage 'Sorcerer' demo, I kinda believe PS4 could get close to those graphics by the end of its cycle...I can see CGI quality being the standard next gen :)

...True dat a ton of developers have said less than positive things about Xbox One, that can't be ignored, just like PS3 suffered the developer criticism.

60fps would be a total screeeam, but I'd still be happy if it's locked @30fps/1080p. I'm not interested in the PS+ version...full retail copy FTW!!! :)))

As of now current gen owners have no GTA equivalent (I:SS isn't driving) so it's a no brainer Watchdogs is going to do super well!!
It's not in competition with a game yet to exist on PS4/X1 at least. But if an enhanced 1080p/60fps GTA V were to arrive, then Watchdogs would be 2nd choice to those eager to re-visit Los Santos on current gen hardware or ultra settings on PC.
...Until that day, Watchdogs is a total easy win IMO :)
If it's not then PS4/X1/PC need to be lead platforms!
I have zero interest in up-scaled, slightly better than last gen engines. With the exception of remasters/remakes etc....
It's the no.1 reason I didn't pick up Ghosts last year. put simply, there is no excuse for new gen projects to look last gen with better textures IMO

If you sit like a clown in front of a 62' tv then yes, pixel blocks everywhere...but sensible people sit at least 6-8 feet away from large screens over 50', so the picture looks way better and less grainy.
BTW my set has high response time, no lag on my tv at all..its below 2ms whatever the terminology is for response time.

Folks misunderstood the article...
Dragon Age Inquisition is still open world, it's non linear. It just isn't wide open as Skyrim. I imagine areas play out as open, but regions will have to load like Assassins Creed.
