The problem isn't the games itself. It seems that older gamers have this problem, rather than younger gamers.

To be completely honest, I think this is the first legit DLC I have ever seen for a CoD game. I do enjoy playing Spec Ops and basically anything that is co operative.

I never really attempted a platinum but from what I've seen in the trophy description for MW2, it looks really easy to get.
I don't really go for trophies at all. For me, it mostly goes like this:
-Beat the game on normal,
-then beat it on the hardest difficulty level
-try the online and see if its good.
-if not, then move to the next game.
Trophies don't really make up my decision of how long I'm going to spend...
Get the limited edition so you get can 2 extra guns in the multiplayer that no one cares about, and pay full price for an over generic military fps.

I wouldn't want that. The classics are "classics" because of their original nature in terms of graphics, difficulty and music.
But I do admit that it would probably sell a lot better since its proven that casual games sell more than hardcore gamer titles.
