Absolutely not. Look at super smash bros. Such an outstanding game ruined by a terrible online component. It could be fixed only one way, and that is patching. Too bad for Nintendo at that point
Maybe they'll actually have a proper conclusion to the game. Its weird how the game just ends out of nowhere. For a developer like ID, it really surprises me that the game has that sort of problem.
But one thing is for sure is that they got the gameplay down really well, thats for sure.
I don't know about you guys but I still think this is Kotick's fault for having his "genius" idea of annualize the CoD brand instead of giving it time to evolve and innovate.
I don't think that the consumers of today will buy a game based on the boxart alone. We live in an internet consumed world, well at least most of us. Back when we were kids, we had to rely on the box art of a game to consider our purchase. But nowadays with all the forums, online video reviews, playthroughs, etc. Its very easy to find what we are looking for.
From a consumer's standpoint nowadays, if the game is very good, then the boxart shouldn't interfere with ...
Here goes no effort:
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
Resistance 3
KillZone 2
KillZone 3
Heavy Rain
Gears of War 3
LA Noire
RAGE
inFamous 2
After seeing Crysis 2 run like garbage on my PS3, I don't think I trust Crytek anymore. And Crysis2 wasn't the best looking game on PS3. It looked mediocore at best, and played mediocore.
I can name ten games off the bat that look better than Crysis2 on consoles.
There are about 200 people playing Resistance Fall of Man each night. If I can find a match online for that game, BO2 on the Wii U is no problem
There is still a huge load of games that I still haven't beaten or tried out from 2011, 2012, and even 2010.
I'm in college right now and its very hard to find time to play games because of the heavy workload. But I'm still trying my best to find some time. I'm currently playing InFamous 2 on the Evil Playthrough haha. Then I'm planning on trying out Mortal Kombat (2010).
I had to completely erase Skyrim from my list. After beating Fallout...
I don't think I've ever played a good Superman game in my life Lol. I'd love to see a "RockSteady" interpretation of a Superman game, just like how they did with the Batman Arkham series.
Beenox is also a great studio for super hero games. Spiderman Shattered Dimensions was really quite fun and good fan service, especially for someone like me who enjoys reading the comics. Although they could do better with the character animations, they feel too light
I think you missed the point. I said all those games aren't worth playing for "me." It was a personal opinion because I'm a huge fan of the Resistance series.
No Resistance Burning Skies bundle? Aw come on. All those games are just not worth playing for me except Super Star Dust Vita.
I told myself I would never buy another game with IW or Treyarch's name on it after playing Black Ops 1 and MW3.
Now the only thing that is left is Call of Duty: Skateboarder from the Tony Hawk developers.
Sony said they've put the Resistance series to rest for now. But if they really do buy out Insomniac and I hear the slightest rumors of a Resistance 4, I'm going to cry of happiness.
Note: I'm probably the biggest fan of the Resistance franchise on this website. I LOVE the Resistance games.
I'm not that excited for this game because I know Insomniac can do better than this. I'm probably the biggest Resistance fan on this website and I love that franchise to death for it's atmosphere, unique gameplay, and enemy designs. It has a really great universe and lore. Its weird to see them make a game like Fuse that really doesn't have any personality
It kind of feels like we're saying goodbye to an old friend. You never realize how precious something is to you until you lose it.
Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain? Seriously? I know we all love that game, and Ethan is a fighter on the inside. But come on, he can't be in a fighting game.
Wow, it's getting some really high scores. I've seen quite a lot of trailers for this game. The advertising team went all out with this one. I see ads for this game everywhere and from what I've seen, this game offers A LOT of content.
Some even described it as big and lenghty of a game as Fallout3.
In the future, many games that we are playing today are going to be considered classics. Even if they are "overlooked" now, people will respect them in the future.
I'm just going to give out my opinion because I only owned the gamecube. Unfortunately I didn't have the luxury to own a PS2 at the time.
But Resident Evil 4 and Super Smash Bros Melee were huge hits I believe.
GTA San Andreas was also an outstanding game
I guess it's for the immersion. I mean for a game like dead space, its best to have a silent character. I mean, can you imagine Dead Space, "Nathan Drake" style?
