Any idea of it'll be on Steam?
Looks like it started Thursday so no surprise. The info would have been nice to know waaaay back then. =)
I'm in the same bind. I really wanna play it on pc but 2 months is such a painful wait...
Ha I can see that coming into play with the old Sniper Wolf fight. Your own emotions would affect snakes breathing and scope movement.
This is the kind of stuff Valve has been spending time with. I think it could really move games forward if as you say the right developers make use of it.
Having games respond to your own emotions instead of what the devs think you might be thinking could open up a whole new way that games play.
Looks like someone broke the embargo on the reviews for dead space 2!
The best example that comes to mind for me is when I was playing Zelda and Zelda a link to the past. Every time I would see a small crack on something in real life my first instinct was to bomb it.
And that reminds me of a PSA I need to deliver. Never play several hours of Burnout Crash Mode and then go out in the real world and drive.
Yeh I think Gearbox just made sure Duke worked and that's it. I don't think they used their creativity department at all to get it out the door.
Quick service to allow the fans to see what could have been.
I was hoping (ignorantly) it would hit wii u close to the same time as pc/ps3/360 so I could use the game pad with the motion tracker but it looks like I'll be getting the pc version now.
Ancient console enemies from a long time ago (Nintendo and Sega) should join forces and create a new console. The Dreamcube...
Yeh I get the ps3 version from gamefly today but would rather play it on my couch pc just because it looks a little better. (not massive amounts though)
My only problem is the extra week waiting...
I think Crysis could actually benefit from it (even though I agree it won't happen).
Crysis to me gameplay-wise has always felt like it was just short of greatness - good ideas that don't really meet their potential.
@janitor
Lol even worse than I remember...
Holograms, hah that reminds me of that ancient arcade game that used holograms. It was cool looking but awful, pitfighter-looking actors if anyone remembers that old turd.
On the addiction scale of 1-10 this game is easily an 11. It was one of my favorites of the year but Dishonored takes my absolute favorite of 2012.
Really looking forward to this since I've never played the mod (or Arma 2).
I'd have to say an 8/10 for me. You can tell there was a lot of work put into it but speaking of gameplay it really didn't do anything new. I enjoyed the story elements and the personal characters changes as well as the free approach to the fights - but after a while it was all the same and nothing that hadn't been done in other games.
I think it's been overrated by the media.
@thorstein
That'd be great, lots of different team and enemy class possibilities. Saber throw ability ftw.
That's sarcasm btw...
Yeh 1080p alone makes it better.
