You're perpetuating the fallacy that the only thing the SSD does is effect loading. They could easily lower draw distance add more layers of LOD or just allow things to pop in or other things that reduce the memory footprint including using uncompressed textures on PS5 and compressed textures on SX.
This is what developers have been saying over and over, the SSD can improve performance more than just loading.
And acting like big publishers are just a...
ND does not have a high turnover rate. Where did you get that information from?
One site wrote an unproven rumor and every xbox fan repeats it over and over exaggerating more every time in an effort to sabotage a company that makes games to a quality Microsoft seems incapable a competing with.
So if SX doesn't sell well remember we at wired said console sales aren't important.
Seems kind of hypocritical from a site that only covers one of the three consoles.
Any Random Microsoft Executive: We don't want to talk about Sony BUT (insert negative comments toward Sony)
Well if you sell it then you won't have the disk, so obviously you won't be able to play it.
I didn't realize Xbox codes were so ridiculous.
Not letting you resell the codes isn't an improvement,
They should just let you input them with your phone. Or make them shorter.
Taste_buds
I'm done arguing about this.
We're all going to call you a liar if you talk about it again.
So what you're saying is you're mad that Sony keeps releasing GOTY games all the way to the end of the generation while Microsoft hasn't had a GOTY all generation and stopped releasing games before the end of the generation yet again?
So, 3 generations in a row Microsoft is the lowest common denominator, it's nice of them to admit it.
There is an HDD in the xbone...
Wow, well I'm always surprised when xbox fans call devs liars but I never expected that to extend to Microsoft's own devs.
I guess anytime someone says something inconvenient you can just shut your eyes and cover your ears. But unfortunately for you that doesn't make things untrue.
Well yeah, but decompression rate is tied to the SSD itself, nothing can be decompressed without being read from the SSD to begin with.
We don't want to talk about Sony BUT....
Especially when you compare exclusives that have to work on xbone and PC versus PlayStation exclusives that can use all the next gen features to the maximum.
Xbone is going the longest slowest most painful elevator ride anyone has ever taken.
Maybe not elevators, but the basic point here is that the PS5 is capable of things the SX isn't.
It probably won't be elevators but things like lower draw distance or less detailed textures or more pop in.
What? It's not that hard to understand. Especially when the context is boiled down to the bare minimum of the SSD's loading speed.
You're discounting it because it's not what you want to hear, not because it's hard to understand.
ElementX,
Ah right power of the cloud again. More closed hardware demo's trying to convince people of magic. Let's see what happens when they have to deploy that tech to real people using the real internet. I saw the closed demo's then I saw Crackdown.
Bruh,
TBH I would trade Ray Tracing for FPS every day of the week.
As the UE5 demo showed you can have FANTASTIC lighting without using 40% of the GPU just to process a few ray's.
In fact there was a topic on another gaming forum I read asking if RTX owners actually used RT and almost unanimously people said they turned it off for FPS/resolution. Ray tracing is a feature you turn on say "oh that's pretty" then turn of...
So, back to my point... What did Rockstar achieve in doing this; outside of try to make a spectacle of themselves, being the giant business that they are? Obviously only doing this because they think it might bump their bottom line in the long run.
It wasn't about changing the world directly, it's about showing that it's more than just protestors that want change. It's just a show of respect.
No one person who protested made a change, mil...
Yes but mostly Microsoft who both started it and continues to push it constantly.
