Yeah... They might want to put that in the article description before too many hearts are broken...
How many more times does this story need to show up on N4G? (Probably at least a few more times, right?)
I don't care what he does with his money, or how rich he gets. Is he a jerk? I don't know. Haven't met him personally. And who says jerks can't get rich? Honestly, it seems like they're usually the ones who do.
The M rating isn't a "make it all okay" label.
Sometimes a line is crossed... I don't understand why pornography in a game gets is an AO rating, but a bunch of civilians getting gunned down (and honestly, how many people who play this game won't pull the trigger in that level?) get an M rating.
The M rating doesn't work. Either it isn't enforced, or parents buy it for their kids.
I'm not for censorship, but they need to do something much more d...
I guess the real question is do we blame Sony for keeping things free by having the publisher host the servers, or do we blame the publisher for not providing enough servers to meet the demand?
Personally, I'd rather not pay. Activision should have had more than enough servers ready. It's not like they aren't making a fortune on this game.
I'm going to come across as a bit of a Puritan here, but just bear with me...
What if all these games that are semi-realistic (Halo is colorful, yes, but there are people inside those suits, and they are carrying guns and shooting each other) should be rated M? What if it's about the violence, and not how much blood you see?
Obviously, if the violence is what ESRB is looking at, then games like Uncharted 1 and 2 SHOULD be rated M too.
I think the ESRB ra...
"360 in fire"
Nice wording there, probably a little more accurate, where Japan is concerned.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
I wish people would quit trying to justify this by citing GTA.
Yeah, but the articles don't give you the option to simulate killing them all yourself...
Suppose only one person out of 5 million (or whatever) plays this level and decides to do something similar as a result, but IW makes millions upon millions on the game, and a lot of people have fun. Would that justify even one death?
Yes, because grown ups can have fun simulating terrorism, right? Because we can get a kick out of realistic images of innocent unarmed people being brutally slaughtered by our own virtual hands, and it doesn't mean anything, right?
I suppose the "grown up" motto is "It's just a game. Have fun!"
Unfortunately, grown up isn't always the thing to be. In this case, we all ought to be a little more like little children. There's truth in what they see,...
Politically correct? Who cares about politically correct? Morality is the thing in question here.
Also, everyone keeps bringing up GTAIV. There were plenty of people, myself included, that wouldn't buy GTAIV because of its immorality. It's downright evil to even think about doing some of the things that are being done in these games. I'm not trying to say that I'm the perfect image of goodness here, but you have to draw the line somewhere, and I think it probably should have been...
I don't think you can really judge the anticipation level until after you see the first week/first month sales.
Honestly, I can't see this being the most anticipated, especially once you factor in the discontent relating to the whole dedicated server issue.
In addition, it's not really fair to compare anticipation of past games to today's. With the internet, the ability to build that anticipation is far superior than it was in the days of the NES, SNES, or even the P...
I'm just curious... That's an entirely different type of game. I mean, I realize a lot of people are upset about the dedicated servers thing, but why does that have to come up in comments for an article about AC2?
I'm glad to see that AC2 seems to be aiming for something a little less repetitive. I really had trouble getting into the first one, despite its many positive aspects...
If they would have started at $200 in the first place, SCEA would be bankrupt, or out of the console business, at the very least.
No doubt they would have been in first place right up until they folded....
Believe it or not, there are people out there who wouldn't attempt to swap out their hard drive for a larger one, no matter how easy and cheap it is.
Honestly, 349 isn't too bad. (Although I agree they should make some bundles available to NA)
Maybe I'm not looking at this the right way, but shouldn't the "hype" period fall BEFORE the reviews come out saying that it's awesome?
In my opinion, once it's been reviewed by everybody and their brother, you can't call it hype anymore. Hype = positive speculation. The reviewers aren't speculating. They've played it.
While everyone is playing up the whole nudity aspect, the only thing I keep thinking is how disappointing the graphics are...
Honestly... Articles like these are really non-news.
What else is the guy going to say about his own game? Even if he thinks GT5 is better, it's not like he's going to admit it.
The developer's opinion really isn't one I'd trust, when sales are on the line. Some people who own both consoles will buy both games, but many are going to pick one or the other. Also, I think GT5 could be more of a console seller because of GT's history alone, so it's all the more important...

The problem is, rating on a scale of 5 really doesn't give much flexibility. Honestly, a 4/5 isn't the same as "80%".
Anything that they think is really good, but not perfect is probably going to get a 4/5, whether it deserves 95/100 or 80/100.
I could be wrong, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. What really needs to go here is the rating on a 5 point system.
You know, I'm loving the beta, and I don't really care too much about lean (never use it much in other games), but I think that you should be able to go prone.
I mean, you're always so exposed when you go to shoot something...
