Thats a pretty bad assessment. You're literally talking about the place in which Nintendo has had the least market penetration for the past decade.
Plus its a smaller market than the other two which means it has little bearing on WW sales. Thats like saying Microsoft is depending on Japan. Nintendo needs the UK to be successful but isn't dependent upon them.

Nintendo said 2.7 were shipped in March alone, I suspect the WW numbers to be in between 3-4 million. Seeing as Japan alone accounts for about 700,000 units IIRC before MK8DX...

Nobody makes a better Metroid than Nintendo when it's made correctly. That means if it isn't Federation Force or Other M you're pretty much golden.
