How long ago? As I recall Ford withstood the recession with no bailout due to their confidence in their financial profitability.. I've said it time and time again this is not a good sign, yet fanboys sugarcoat it.. Maybe Morpheus is a little too much for their coffers at the moment... Should focus on games not peripherals.
It's newsworthy because we don't know the reasoning, his motivations could be anything but when multiple people leave and top studios begin shutting down a question needs to be asked and parallels need to be drawn. It's not a coincidence this is happening as most people on this site will try and sugarcoat it into non existence... The real question is why?

Who's really delusional the guy ranting and raving about a box or two missing from one build to another? Or the fanboys who see parity among the builds regardless of the missing box! The graphical fidelity is on par with what they've shown from the start! Is there something wrong with that? Would you have rathered they drastically downgraded the graphics? And you do realize that Naughty Dog wasn't owned by Sony until 2001 where as retro was owned by Nintendo a year earlier! So your point being?
They've been alluding to it, the creative director recently said in an interview if you ask for it you may just get it, or something along those lines. It obviously takes years for full game developement meaning it is likely in developement and because he can't directly confirm he says "keep asking"...

Well i'd say thats the point less than 2 mil in 7 years is abysmal. While less than 2 mil in just over a year is a bit more respectable, its not great but more respectable indeed. Now when you put it up against the 360 in other regions the Wii U is blown out of the water but the race is just starting for these new consoles don't count ANY of them out too soon.
And FYI the wii ate the 360 globally.... maybe not as much in Europe but it got its ass handed to it... Sorry...

It says nothing about me other than what you wish to infer, I've owned all of the big threes consoles (currently Ps4&Wii U) I'm just not biased by blatant fanboyism. Sony is losing money and this downsizing is a result of it. You can spin it however you'd like but it's a wasted investment and a desperate attempt to stop hemorrhaging money. Sorry if the truth hurts but it's a video game console and a video game company and their objective is to make money, isn't it?...
