Manufacturers have drivers to run on 7 (smoothly) by the time it comes out. If not, it will be Vista all over again.

I don't care who beats who in 2009, as long as they both come out with great games to play. I have this fear, after seeing the 'over 200 games the whole family can enjoy' 360 commercial, that hardcore game development on the 360 will be secondary to casual game development. I hope my fear is incorrect.
Sorry, but the list isn't called 'Must Have Games of 2009 for KIDS', so your reasoning doesn't make any sense at all. May I suggest you look at the list. If you did then, wait a minute, they took out blood and gore from RE5, GOW3, Bioshock 2, Mafia 2, etc?

Statistics mean NOTHING when it comes to telling the future of ANYTHING. That's a fact. Statistics will only tell you what happened during a given time frame, nothing more, nothing less. It gives you a good idea what 'may' happen, but does not tell you what 'will' happen. In the end, your guess is as good as the journalist guess.

IMO, MS will try to take the casual crowd. IMO (again) they want Wii like numbers. That way they don't have to spend a fortune on game development, thus making more profits. I believe it's the main reason for the arcade.
