I kill faster with keyboard and mouse. It would be nice on PS3 for those who don't own a PC or 360. Hell I'd rent it to play wit friends who only have a PS3. Awesome co-op game..

I don't consider it hype, since most articles/comments 'publicized' are from people who actually played it. It's more excitement and anticipation by the gamers that make it feel like hype.
I don't blame the fanboy. I blame the Media and the Internet. Back in the day you could have more than one system and it would be cool. Now it seems like you have to swear allegiance to one and shun the other, no matter what. With the money situation for most people, my <3 goes out to those who can't enjoy more than one console. Who cares what the media/internet consensus thinks, save your money to enjoy ALL games.
I have yet to see one advert on Killzone 2. Hype? About the only thing that is 'over' are the comments to articles/video's relating to KZ2, and bear in mind, that's the general media spitting and gamers. And I wouldn't call it hype, more excitement/anticipation for a game. Remember:

I don't think so. I think mostly everyone wants to hear if most of the major media think it's a great game buy/play. Nobody but fanboys care if it's a 'Halo Killer'.

A 10/10, 9/10, 1/10, will not deter me from enjoying the game. Look at what was good and bad about the game, see if you can live with it (even if you don't agree with it), and then ignore the score. It's what I do.
Now what am I going to do with all my mules? Oh, farm more.
