They don't really need to. Graphics aren't everything. If Epic hadn't made any of the Gears games and were about to bring out their first game of the next gen on the 360, I'm damn sure it'd look similar in terms of graphics. Hmmm, I don't know why hardware issues make any difference. All that happens is you would send it off and get it repaired for free. But the 5 million they sold in the meantime easily cancels out how much that cost them. So it's clearly worth coming out a year early if you're gonna sell that many. If it came out a year later it wouldn't be 8 million ahead right now...(oh wait, let me guess, Microsoft saying that they sold 28 million was all lies...has Sony even sold 20m yet?)

Sony will never drop out. It must know that it's one of the most significant players in the whole of videogame history and it will continue to be for years to come. If the playstation died there'd be very little competition for xbox which would make all games worse. And playstation brought us some of the best franchises ever.
It's an expansion isn't it? Halo 3 might be overrated but it's still good, and this is being made by bungie so chances are it'll also be good. Killzone 2 looks amazing, but is the sequel to a poor game so until it comes out there's no guaranteeing it will be good as the developers have yet to prove themselves...Just like if they announced Haze 2 and the graphics were incredible, I don't think many would call it a must have game until it was out and was good.
Yeah the user base of 360 still isn't even a million but somehow that poor game sold roughly as many. WKC looks pretty poor too tho, I know PS3 fanboys jumped on Level 5's d!ck because they feel betrayed (LOL) by Square (they're not your company btw...they don't have to be loyal just for you) but if you look at the gameplay videos of WKC, you'll see that it looks pretty poor compared to the sweet lookin screens that were released. It'll get mediocre scores everywhere, it looks like garbage.
