It's for us, the gamers. Being able to let all of us play together is important in the current market. I love that I can pick my favorite platform and play with any of my friends anywhere no matter their console of choice. It's that simple.

I'm pretty excited that MS is putting in extra effort for first party titles like Sony. It only benefits us all in the end game.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like all the extra things are just optional. Besides cleaning a gun and bathing once in a blue moon. It's really nothing you HAVE to do. Just changes the gameplay slightly.
Microsoft had a better presentation while Sony had better games. Maybe that's just me.
i will still get one for my play anywhere titles. with my kids taking up different platforms its nice having options from one room to another.

I know I'm going to get one and it will look nice next to my ps4. They gave me the system that will help with the multiplatform games that play better on ps4 now. I enjoy the Microsoft side better but I do love my ps4 exclusives. They made a system that I wanted for sure.

I think i have probably invested the equivalent amount if not more in my keyboard and mouse for my PC. This is all very true. My elite controller doesn't make me better, but it does make certain things easier to play with. It opens up alot of options I never thought I would use when playing pc or xbox.
Not gonna lie. My PS4 controller sticks fall apart pretty fast. This has happened to my friends as well. I have an Elite controller for my XOne and PC and it is vastly superior in build quality as are my other standard Xbox one controllers, but its not a bad controller. Its much better than the DS3. That thing was horrid.
PSN had more users a long time ago but that doesn't mean that it's all gaming related. A few years back Sony claimed they were bigger than xbox live but that number was skewed slightly due to it being the overall number of accounts made. Sure doesn't seem like many agree with you. Maybe it's the fact that with this current gen there have been a substantial amount of 1080p games. As a pc gamer I find that consoles have lots to offer that make them stand their ground to pc's. Maybe that's why they are still trending better in the industry in gaming than pc's. Not to mention mobile platforms are killing it over pc's. Pcs will always be dominant over consoles in graphics but that doesn't mean that'...
