I hope so but they say this every year. I feel like the year of the playstation has been every year since launch and yet after all is said and done it feels very lackluster. I hope this year sony does some great things, but im not gonna lie and say that im not excited for microsoft as well. Hopefully this year will be great overall for all gamers no matter the console.

I can just hear everyone saying that 2012 is the Year of the Playstation, but will find that once again it will turn into another lackluster year. If Sony could pull off Half-Life 3 as an exclusive then I would probably argue otherwise. PS delivered well to its community in all of 2011, but i found my xbox exclusives delivered a little more. The pure number of games were higher, but not many were well received. You need more than Kevin Butler to win 2012.....maybe Ron Paul ;)

This is the epitome of a fanboy article. Although some of the info here i could say is factual. Alot is pure opinion. Based on what the writer puts as what the devs are working on. Seriously thats just silly. Hes posting things here based off of ideas and theory, not facts. I would love to see the factual documents that shows current failure rates. I work for the Retailers repair dpt and i can surely say that the failure rates have dropped dramatically on all platforms.
This is such crap. This isn't the actual name and anybody who already owns the console knows that. Even the manual that comes with the new 360 dubs the console as the "xbox 360 s". ITS IN THE FREAKIN USER MANUAL!

but a nice addition to what already is a great place for devs to make something cool. With the addition of community games on the nxe this should make it a little more enjoyable for kids, but by no means is this an answer to LBP. That game is not replicable.
the staff there told me the only copies they are getting are the special edition with the extra missions. There are no different skews for a different version.
If that is true then why did they release the Playstation Display. That is the most faulty product on the market. I haven't sold one that hasn't been returned in their first 6 months due to hardware failure. Not to mention how can you say you stand by a product that only has a 90 day warranty for a display. Also lets not forget they waited a week to let everyone know our credit card info was stolen or potentially stolen. Im a fan of the playstation brand, but they arent flawless.
