78% sales drop in it's first full week, thats a pretty steep drop. Funny thing is, most of the sony defenders on this site said that the media should wait until it was out a full week before reporing on low(er than 3DS) sales. Now that it's been out a week, the same people have new excuses.

I don't remember 3DS 2nd week sales dropping 78% though.
They are still about 4 billion in the red concerning PS3. That doesn't sound like they know exactly what they're doing. PS3 success is measured by the profit they make from it and so far it hasn't made enough to cover their costs.
On top of all that, SONY as a whole is on its 4th straight year of loss, as in no profit at all for the last 4 years, you'll forgive the rest of the world that isn't up SONY's @$$ like most of N4G is, for being sceptical.

I find this excuse hilarious, Christmas is for kids, 3DS is for kids so it will sell more. Next thing Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentine's, Independence Day, New Year's Day and Halloween will all be labelled kids days when 3DS mops the floor with VITA on those and so many other occasions
