You misread my post, my friend.
We don't disagree. ;)
The entire world is moving towards a very sinister system of governance.
It is happening right in front of our eyes, yet most people are so wrapped up in everyday nonsense that they can't even see it.
Soon enough, however, it will be on display for all to see.
His first mistake appears to be that he questioned authority.
You never question authority in Amerika, you just show your papers and keep your eyes on the ground.
Seriously, the world is not like it used to be, folks.
Big Brother is here and dark days are on the horizon...
If it's a Half-Life announcement, I am going to be like this...
"I think Red Faction: Guerrilla is one of the best games this gen"
Wow, I think somebody must have a gun to Soda Popinsky's head. lol
I'm just kidding with you man, but your statement about Red Faction Guerrilla just shows how much opinions can differ. I thought the game was pure garbage and a total slap in the face to the two games that came before it.
lol @ Bathyj trying to come to grips with the NPD numbers.
The recent dose of reality seems to have left a lot of people grasping at straws around here.
lol, you are probably one of the "gentlemen" that sends me profanity-laced messages on Xbox Live after I destroy everyone on the map with my Godlike camping skills.
Who are you to tell somebody how they should play a game that they have just spent $60 on?
Seriously, acting like you have figured out the "right" way to play the game is beyond ridiculous.
I camp because I have the most fun that way, and I also usually finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd with only 5 to 10 deaths.
I had a blast with Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.
It's a beautiful looking game, as well.
I'm playing Batman right now (about 4 hours into it) and I'm not quite digging it as much as everyone else.
I think it's a very solid game, just not the "9" or "10" that a lot of people say it is.
I actually expected Killzone 2 to be awesome (it was the main reason I bought my PS3) but the horrible controls killed the game for me.
I'm very surprised to hear so many people saying that the camping is far worse in Modern Warfare 2.
My style of play is 100% camping (I'm the guy you love to hate :D) and I have found camping to be way more difficult in Modern Warfare 2.
I believe that it is due to the huge maps.
You can sit and wait a looong time without seeing anybody, while other people are out there racking up the kills.
It is forcing me to change up my style a bit.
It is, and it appears that the "off topic" function is being heavily abused.
My posts were on topic and not offensive (I simply recommended that bruddahmanmatt go ahead and get a 360, because they are now $199 with a 3 year warranty, and the new models are much less likely to need repairs).
I have seen FAR more offensive things go seemingly unnoticed.
People here need to chill. lol
Cool, thanks maxcer. :)
"When did I say PS3 was better?"
Only about 10,000 times a day. lol
Ok, cool.
Thanks for the info.
Good ol' Saaking to the rescue, here to tell us yet again why the PS3 is better than the 360. lol
And I love government cheese. :D
I never got into any of the Final Fantasy games.
I'm going to rent this one, but I have a feeling that 99% of my time is going to be spent saying "WTF?" over and over again as I try to make heads or tails of the convoluted story . lol
If it breaks, they fix it and in 2 or 3 weeks you get it back.
It happened to my launch 360 and it was back to me in 2 weeks.
Small price to pay for all of the enjoyment it has given me.
The new models appear to be very reliable, so needing a warranty repair looks to be much less of an issue now.
Again, you can have one for $199 and be covered for 3 years. I don't see what the concern is.
If it were $599 (cough) I could understand it. :D
"if the reliability weren't so questionable, I'd definitely consider picking up a 360"
They are $199 and come with a 3 year warranty.
Go ahead and get one.
You are missing out on some great games (and the best controller ever) by not owning one.
Black Friday was Sony's Hail Mary, and getting outsold by the 360 means that they fumbled the ball.
They have very little left at this point, and Natal is going to be a system selling beast in 2010.
Accepting this reality will lead to less disappointment in the future for the diehard Sony fans.
