They may ship that many but it will be a long time before they sell that many in Japan. Japan is just too small of a market. More gaming devices are sold in the U.S. in a holiday month than are sold all year in Japan.
I agree. Cell phones will never be what a dedicated gaming device can be. But I also don't see the point of a handheld device when you can game on a console. Why play on a 3' screen when you can play on a 50'. Unless you travel alot.

I would say the problem with Vita and every other handheld is the fact that they are handhelds. No one other than frequent travelers and tweens wants a handheld. I'm what the market considers an average gamer and I'll take my games on my 50' plasma. I have no use whatsoever for an expensive inferior gaming device. These things should be selling at no more than 50 bucks let alone over 100.
I still have zero urge to buy a PS3. Community is too f**ked in the head. I love my 360 though. Great community.

I own a 360 and its kept me happy with its exclusives, top of the line online service, and superior multi-plats. There just aren't any games I'm interested in on the PS3.

Point being people are having problems with Skyrim on PS3. What has Pete Hines said about that. Until the issues are truly addressed, I'll put my money on the dev being right.
No lag here. I think this article is fear mongering. If you use the server browser to find a reasonable game there is no lag.
