There is actually quite a few uses of the motion controls that is fun. For examples at times you fly a bird like creature and hold the remote horizontally like you would a plane. And when your rock mario you hold it straight up vertically mimicking the old sidewinder remotes used for like controlling jets. As well the pointer is used for more gameplay elements than collectin starbits.

Honestly another reason could be the price and lack of features that affect people's value judgement of the system. I've had a wii u and enjoy it since launch. Play it more consistantly over ps4.
But it does suck that when I play mario kart 8 with friends online we can't voice chat. Also sucks I had to pay extra and buy a usb LAN adapter.
After things like LAN adapter, pro controller. And more wii motes. Wii u cost me more than an Xbox one.
Bayonetta 2 was my game of the year too
Bought this game at release and am still playing it a year later. Slowly working through all the temple levels. Can't wait to unlock the final level. It was a visual treat on Dk country returns.
I bought a new iPod nano and it does not come with a charger either. But it at least comes with the usb cable and can be charged on any computer. I will not get this 3ds out of not wanting to support this nickel and dime mentality. And also my current 3ds xl will play all games except the old xenoblade which I'm not interested in Cus I'll be getting the new xenoblade on wii u
Also new 3ds is pricy for what you get.
Technically they did have resident evil revelations. Also it was available long on 3ds long b4 console ports.

Imagine if their next system is something like ps4 but little more powerful with beater looking and performing multiplats plus big N's exclusives.
Sure it's valid. But that misses the point. The article is pretty well thought out and the author goes into reason. And even mentions he doesn't like aggregated scores but uses meta critic as an example comparing the exclusives. Between the systems and it's obvious which system has better exclusives.
