I personally won't buy a game that doesn't have some type of story to it. I have a hard time staying invested in a game with no story. The only game I've ever been able to get hooked to without a story is Destiny, and even that came with a half decent story behind it. It was really horrible, but I managed to enjoy the game regardless. But games like CoD or Battlefield that have 6hr campaigns then nothing but MP, I can't do those. Or like Titan Fall. I don't have an Xbox On...

I've seen a few people mention this, can you elaborate? I didn't get a chance to play the closed beta, so I'm not aware of what you're referring to.

I do know they added a new warning to let you know you've accidentally shot a friend to help prevent you from going rogue. And they also changed the health bar above your head to only turn red when you go rogue.

Do you get like a ton of currency or something the higher your rogue status?

If it's a good game and I know I'll spend 200+ hours on it, I don't mind paying for some DLC or expansions. I did the same thing with Destiny up until I didn't spend as much time playing it. Based on what I've been hearing about raids, new missions, weapons, etc, which will likely be a good chunk of what their DLC/expansions will be, I'm down with that.

And I also don't think it was too much over reaction. I've been reading a lot of forums and ...

Yeah, you've got the right idea man. Some people are just over critical on betas. I thought Ubisoft did a good job on their closed beta. The open beta should run smoothly as well. I wouldn't say forget about the content in the beta because it is an indication of what's to come, but I wouldn't put too much weight into it. I read where one dev said they didn't want to show everything in the game during the beta, they want to leave a good majority for us to discover when Marc...

Yeah you do sarlucic, come on now man. Everyone knows the last game they were super addicted to lol. Don't be ashamed bro. We know it was Leisure Suit Larry. Come on man, spill the beans :D

I dunno, I feel like they stripped down the DZ because one of the devs already said the DZ is their main focus and what they'll provide the most support for after launch. If it's their main focus, I expect some big things to come. I don't mind waiting until launch to figure it all out, it's gonna be a great game.

Honestly though, has anything changed since E3 a few years back? They didn't show anything then that isn't in the game now. And the graphics downgrade, is it really a downgrade?

Just think about it for a minute, games have been developed in the same fashion for years, it's only recent that we as consumers are aware of the downgrade that happens. Ubisoft isn't the only company that does this. E3 is a showcase. Their demos are gonna be extremely pretty and entic...

I've been echoing the same sentiments for the past week. Because of The Division's closed beta, there's all this up talk about betas because obviously The Division's closed beta really turned some people off from it. My biggest recommendation is that gamers allow the game to be fully released then watch streamers on Twitch to get a better idea of the final build. There's typically one or two streamers on there that Studios will allow them to play the final build sometimes ...

The fact that they're listening to the gamers is a good thing. I'm very impressed with their support so far. Only means the dev support will be strong going forward. That's all I wanted to know.

I think people just simply don't understand the purpose of open betas. They're intended for stress testing servers and identifying any bugs/exploits that the game might have. It's never a clear representation of the final build of a game. Nor does it ever present 100% of what can be found in the final build of a game. Betas are usually stripped down to about 30% of the content that will be present in the final build, with the chance of changes to be implemented in the following we...

Was so happy when I heard this game was coming to PC. The Division, Quantum Break, Uncharted, Mass Effect Andromeda, and at some point Tomb Raider. Gonna be a nice year for gaming!

I dunno man, I haven't played the game yet, but I have seen a lot of videos and the rank thing does seem odd to me. I've actually played DC Universe Online and I understand how that particular MMO works, but it doesn't mean every MMO has to be the same. And this type of game, where the DZ and outside the DZ are one in the same, there should be an overall XP that you can gain from both inside and outside the DZ and then a separate DZ rank that would be a progression solely for purc...

Yeah, I'm waiting for the full game. Simply because I hate episodic releases. I did the same thing with Telltale's Walking Dead. I personally like to immerse myself into the game, rather than having to stop at some point and wait months for the next release. I think that's the same argument most people would have.

I still don't get the point of the DZ if you lose everything if you die. I know you don't lose allllll of your XP and currency at once, but if you keep dying, what's left? I would assume you'd have to be really bad to continuously die in there, but it just seems odd to me. I'd think you'd get to keep your DZ XP at least.

I wish Ubisoft would say something more about what'll be there. I just feel like whoever is running their marketing team is dropping the ball. There's no End Game content info, not much info on weapons, there hasn't been a lot of talk about the different factions we'll see in the dark zone, or outside the dark zone. I haven't seen crafting yet. I get the idea of how it works, I guess, but just haven't really heard much about it. Will there be daily missions, seasonal e...

Is losing dark zone XP something you've seen in other games? I've been trying to figure out if this is an MMO type thing or something that I've never seen before. It doesn't make sense to me, so I've just been asking anyone and everyone trying to figure out why they made it that way. Because if you think about it, let's say I go into the dark zone day 1, and there's some dude just waiting for me to come in there and he just keeps hunting me down and killing me... I...

There's only one thing I agree with in this article, and that's the Dark Zone. I feel like it's forcing players to either never go into the dark zone and grind the single-player/co-op areas outside the dark zone for the best gear. Or take your chances on spending however much time finding that perfect piece of gear, only to have it stolen from you at the extraction point, a large chunk of your dark zone XP and a large chunk of dark zone currency. Players should never feel forced t...
