i call bullsh*t it's just a rehashing of super mario galaxy 1 ideas with a drill.
hopefully!! aion looks tight
after looking at all these screens and trailers for upcoming ps3 exclusive games, and even ff13 (which is multiplat) alan wake doesn't really look as beautiful as it used to to me. obviously, if the game plays well or is very fun then that's something else, but i'm just solely talking on a graphical level.
i didn't really find this game all that fun or synesthesiatic or however it's spelled. patapon is real good when blazed
DOTA ANYONE?
i don't really think it was overhyped, it had some buzz being an exclusive ps3 shooter initially but that died down, and the release was sort of quiet i think
then he should know that the beauty of a game's lighting team is to make something look the nicest within the team's limited resources. no normal person is going to be zooming in on every nook and cranny to see how the shadows are made. regardless, the game nice and plays nice, and i just beat the game yesterday and started playing online and i am hooked
this article doesn't really say anything about the graphics at all. what's important to note is that killzone 2 beat halo 3 on single player and multi player gameplay.
i'll stick to dota.
for the original metal gear games - didn't he take a lot of stuff from Escape from New York (kurt russell i believe). like the name pliskin, and other stuff. funny he didn't put that in his list
technically, the smoke would just shoot out of the tunnel, because tunnels create free wind (fluid dynamics)
...or does the gameplay seem a bit repetitive? or at least the combat anyway. maybe it's the annoying audio on each lightning bolt he threw out. nevertheless, i hope this game's good! killzone 2 will hold me over till this
let's hope they don't shorten the battery life with this upgrade
i don't know what you guys are seeing but the ps3 looks better IMO. less jaggies and the explosion effect was better. not to mention the shading is weird on the 360 version, but someone said that's due to the video being in slowmo? in any case, that's just what i'm seeing. but i'm sure the pc version looks amazing if you got a good enough gaming rig
but they sorta lost me. i did get a wii on launch day. loved it, but after playing through metroid prime 3 a third time, i got a good deal for a ps3 on craigslist and that's really the only console i play now. i'll definitely hook my wii back up when another zelda, mario, or metroid game comes out, maybe the conduit, but right now i'm playing resistance 2, waiting for resident evil 5, prince of persia maybe, and killzone 2 definitely.
but people will be happy with blu ray once it gets mainstream, just like people are still buying DVDs today even though better technology has been out for a while.
firstly, i'd like to say that to this day i play both games!! i feel like resistance is a very underrated game, and it's single player, though feeling a little rushed and needing a little more polish, definitely beats Halo 3. however, while resistance is very fun online, i like halo 3's maps better, and the online community as a whole is better with halo 3. again, i feel like resistance was rushed, but resistance 2 will probably be much more polished. halo 3's online play is outstanding, ...
i used to play this game years ago. it was free (no monthly payment), i wonder if it still is, or will be free on ds. and i hope it comes to the states! it was fun
yes the potential dilution of quality of the game is definitely what's upsetting me. look at devil may cry 4, GTA4, and even asassin's creed. those games would be so much better if they were developed solely for the ps3, without a doubt. more efficiencies in the development would definitely be reached. GTA4's controls, i dunno if it's just me, but feel somewhat clunky. DMC4's second half is the same as the first half backwards. but that's the thing, sony developed a system, like they al...
is amazing and addicting. DotA is THE ONLY game I've played everyday for over 4 years... and since I started playing HoN - I haven't played DotA once! This game blows DotA away - it's like DotA on steroids. HoN is definitely going to be played by me daily for the next few years.
