Doesn't matter if it's free, i have had no problem in paying for XBL, subscription is due in January, which is generally a slow time for new games. XBl is £40 for a year, the same price as a new game, i was using it for hours every day, just like buying a new game really.
As has been said already, Free does not mean better.
That we'll have to wait and see, it's got potential to be on a par but better ? Okay it's free which is great but XBL is where it's at as far as online gaming goes (for just now), after playing on Live for over two years the current PSN system is poor.
I haven't noticed any lag while playing Warhawk tho.
That's what could ultimately make or break this game, there's a lot of people who think the same way, personally it doesn't bother me who publishes the title, if i like the look of the game i'll get it, good reviews or not i like to make up my own mind, although the more positive news, the better.
This is the first time i've seen anything about this game but i just watched a couple of movies on it and it looks amazing, i really like the style that they've used, you say it's confirmed for USA, any idea about UK ?, if not then this will be a definite import for me.

Looks like the delay was well worth it, i've got this on preorder and can't wait to get it. Wonder if it'll cure my new found Warhawk addiction ?

Good to see how much support this gets and it's the first time since i've had my PS3 that i haven't been missing XBL.
I was also sceptical about this but it looks really good so far, i'd like to think that in the final version when you quit a game you'll go back to Home, instead of being kicked out.
Does anyone know if there are shortcuts to the different areas ?, or will we be made to walk to them all of the time ?, that would get tiresome.
I just hope that this will be released in all regions at the same time, could only imagine what it'd be like if it turns into another GT5 Prologue, out in Japan for months before anywhere else.
I would never have believed that graphics like those were possible (in game)but after playing GT5 Prologue and Uncharted then i'm willing to say i was probably wrong, if they can make the game exciting to play then this looks to have the potential to blow everything else away.
Got to agree with the guy looking like Ving Rhames, hope they use him for the voiceover.

As far as reviews go though, i'll take my chances and get this on launch, fed up listening to what other people think, go with your gut instinct is what i say.
And in my local stores they've got so many copies of R.F.O.M. that they won't take any more, guess it just depends where you stay.
IMO, Gears was a far better game, Resistance is a generic FPS, it's been well made by Insomniac and has very good story and the enemies are excellent but it's nothing that hasn't been done. If they can do 60 player online and 8 player co-op in Resistance2 then that will be worth buying the game for alone.
I'd still give the edge to Ge...

I was playing a Japanese import of this game in my local independant store and can honestly say that you don't look at the pit crew, you're too busy looking at the cars.
just wish they'd integrated chat into this, at least it'll be in the full game.
Totally agree, there's nothing new about this game at all, last gen game.
And the great thing about the 360 version is, you can invite your mates by chat while they're playing other games and they don't have to leave their game to retrieve their message in the first place.
Totally irrelevant, all that matters is everyone gets a chance to play this game, i'm really happy to see it going multi-plat, way to go Rockstar.
PS3 version for me though.
Even if it does get released for PS3 i'd get it on my 360, something to really look forward to now, for about the next 2 years. lol.
I've only had Warhawk for about a week and i'm hooked, it's excellent, really good to see that the devs support it so well and i'm looking forward to this update.
