Doesn't look as good as Turtles in Time, but I know that's setting the bar pretty high!
Stop the kids from rampaging with a sports challenge!
It's weird, I loved every Hitman title in its own way, including Absolution. I am hankering for the return of a more low-key 47 where you can take your time with the missions a bit more and this seems to fit the bill!
About time you joined the legions who enjoy these human threshing machine simulators, Mikey!
Seems like it will be a nice warm and nostalgic game updated for the modern era :)
Very painterly designs.
You're definitely right. It has rnadomly generated levels and RPG-like character building which always gives a sense of progression and stops it feeling samey.
That's a lot of it! It's got the more in-depth visceral melee combat of Zeno Clash with so of the crafting of Rust, in a focused Hunger Games style deathmatch.
Yup, but was in closed alpha when I was playing it XD
It's the craft movement coming to videogames!
It damn well better have it! If you want a lawnmower man game, check out Cyberwar :D
Yeah, the game was kickstarted by ex-AAA devs and it seems like a really personal project for them. I hope Flame in the Flood is a big success. The budget for this game was only a quarter of a million. Imagine what they could do with a million or two!
You definitely won't regret it!
It's about time!
It's a pretty awkward window to release a console in, alright
It's about time!
@PixelGateUk
It doesn't have to have that, but it would be nice if there was some sort of sense of progression. Also, I never once went into a lobby to encounter anything resembling tactical action or teamwork. Just a lot of dudes yelling racist jokes over voicechat.
There are countless other multiplayer games that reward players for working well as a team or for playing skillfully. A lot of them have far more complex systems, original premises or outrigh...
If it's a multiplayer only game, rewards and unlocks are important to many people in the absence of a more conventional campaign or story mode. Sure, it'd be fine if the base game was really fun, but it isn't, so the lack of unlocks just magnifies the futility of playing.
Pretty Smexy
Interesting article, Mikey!
