I can't believe he recommends having a kid repair the computer. What a huge mistake that would be. Most kids only know enough to be dangerous. I've fixed several computers for people I know that belong to their kids. They're always full of spyware and viruses. One had over 300 viruses on it.
Even $9.99 for an HD DVD is too much. Why waste the money? Sure they'd work fine. But how long will HD DVD players last? If you buy these discs you better grab a cheap HD DVD player too and store it until your current player breaks.
The only reason people care so much about GDC now is because E3 sucks so much. The gaming industry needs to go back to a big show for E3 and let developers have their show. GDC stands for Game Developer Conference. It really wasn't meant for the rest of us. E3 wasn't really either though. It was for the people who buy games for stores.
I guess what we need is a big show for gamers. Everyone can show off what they're working on there. It doesn't have to be as crazy as E3 was but...
Next time just make the game for the PS3 on PSN. I think by now everyone knows Sony will allow games where users can create content. Microsoft won't. They want us to believe that it's because they can't guarantee the quality. What it really is though is Microsoft would have a hard time charging for it.
Sure the 360 will get a port of MGS4. No way it won't. The sales will be HUGE. They'll just drop the screen size a little. Maybe a 50 pixel tall by 125 pixel wide screen. Think PSP screen on your TV. Hahaha. Poor Xbox 1.5 and it's tiny DVD.

I agree with Bill Gates. Heavenly Sword has great Sixaxis controls. It's one of the best examples of using Sixaxis. I think more developers need to look at what they did in the game. I don't think we need motion controls in every game. There are times when it's nice. I don't like it for driving a car but an airplane can use it.
I don't. They're four of the most recent games. I bet you want to compare crap like Rainbow Six Vegas. The truth is third party developers are figuring out the PS3. The good developers are at least making the two versions the same. I think the 360 is holding back the PS3 versions but soon that might not be true anymore. For now at least there isn't much difference.
Oddworld was killed by moving to the Xbox. What a huge mistake that was. Poor sales killed a good series. Just think what could have been if they stuck with Sony. There could be a nice PS3 game coming. This should be a lesson to other developers.
Here's an idea. Take-Two can let Rockstar break away and become a new company. Then sell what's left of the company to EA for $2 billion. I wonder if EA would want them if Rockstar wasn't part of the deal? No way should they get the GTA franchise for that little.
The difference is the reports on HD DVD paying to get support from movie companies came from someone outside the war. Toshiba or someone involved in HD DVD made the Sony rumors up. Nothing was ever proved Sony did it but someone had to pay to get support for HD DVD.
Dreamworks was well compensated for backing HD DVD? I knew it. Someone was paying them to back the format. That's dumb. I'm sure somewhere in their contract though it says if the format dies they can drop out from the deal. Go ahead and switch to Blu-ray like everyone else did.
Is Beryl version 8 of Ubuntu? I've been using 7.10 lately. I need to reinstall it though. I installed the 64-bit version and I guess I should go with 32-bit. It was the first Linux I got to install so I could use a wireless network though. Finally Linux desktop is almost ready for the average user.
What's shocking is we have to wait so long. Come on Sony, just release the controller now. I see no reason for such a long wait after Japan got it.
I don't know about this. Sony made a couple Twisted Metal games without the original team but they just weren't Twisted Metal. Sure EA could make GTA games without the original team but would they be GTA? A lot of people have tried to copy GTA but so far nothing has been as good.

Maybe I'll pick that game up tomorrow. I got the same deal for Assassin's Creed at Target right after Christmas. I think it was $38.99 though. Maybe they should create an area just to list special deals on games on n4g.com.
