Vista isn't that bad but then it isn't much better than XP and XP is better at some things. It just isn't worth the trouble to upgrade to. If you buy a new computer and all your old hardware and software is compatible with Vista then it's okay. Just don't bother with an upgrade.
I agree, why even talk about this? Nobody thinks any software is bug free. Games are complicated. Even on consoles. You can't test everything. There will be bugs. That's why you do updates. It's no big deal.
I don't have all these problems on my Vista laptop. Overall it runs fine. Sometimes IE7 crashes on certain sites but that's about it. Vista runs fine for me. No slow speed. My main problem is I upgraded my desktop to Vista 64 Ultimate and that was a waste of money. The 64-bit version isn't worth it.
I don't recommend upgrading an XP computer to Vista at all. You just don't get much you don't already have with Vista. If you bought a decent computer with Vista on it and don't nee...
GTA isn't really about doing the missions. I wouldn't expect an Xbot to understand though. I don't play GTA games to finish all the missions. That part can actually be really boring. It's more fun to just do whatever you want. Walk around and listen to the wackos on the street talking. Run people over. Get the cops to chase you. Grab a firetruck and smash through everything. Right before you blow up grab another vehicle and keep going.
If anything the missions just get in the w...
Icewake is delusional. The superior version of GTA of course will be on the superior console, the PS3. The only way Microsoft can get people to buy it for their console is paying for extra content. But who needs extra content? I don't do half the stuff in GTA games. The games are great without the extras. As long as GTA4 is like the last few games I won't care. I just want to be able to do whatever I want. I mostly like to drive around and wreck everyone and get the cops to chase me. The poli...
"This article will turn into flamebait though. Can't wait to hear fanboys say Yahoo is biased to MS"
It doesn't take a fanboy to see that. We all know the story of Microsoft and Yahoo. You have to wonder about this story. Microsoft might be making a profit right now but I doubt they've gained all their losses from their gaming division. They just aren't losing money now. How many billions did they lose from gaming though?
That guy who wrote the article works for Yahoo. Hmm. Do you think maybe he's kissing up to his possible new boss? Does he see the writing on the wall? Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo. He works for Yahoo. If he writes anything bad about Microsoft he might lose his job. If he writes about how well they're doing he might get promoted.
This is just like the knuckleheads at CNBC. They actually told their viewers to sell Sony stock and to buy Microsoft stock. They didn't really have goo...
The US has to wait until the other regions approve it? Not good. SCEE seems to take forever to do anything. Maybe they should release it for the US at least. Europe needs to figure out one main language and have all games in that language. It would really speed things up. I think they have seven now and all have to be approved.
You should have stayed at Sony. Do you really think you can help that horrible company you just joined? I doubt it but good luck. You're going to need all the luck you can get.
As for Army of Two, it looks like EA got smart and fixed a lot of junk. I was reading about a lot of bad things in the game the last few months. I doubt it's as good as everyone was hoping for but at least it looks like it's a decent game.
Get a Mac or try Linux. If people don't want to buy a new computer just try Ubuntu 7.10. It's a great OS and is free. OS X is just Unix with Apple's interface on it so it isn't much different.
Don't bother upgrading to 64-bit Vista. It isn't worth it. Too much still doesn't work under it. If you don't mind your computer being incompatible with some programs and even hardware go ahead but overall Vista 64 just isn't worth it.
Is your buddy having any problems with Vista Ultimate 64? I own it and installed it on my home desktop and I removed it because it was pretty bad. Just too much stuff doesn't work with it. The problem is 64-bit still isn't fully supported and sometimes you can't install a 32-bit version of a program on a 64-bit Windows computer.
If I'm going to go through the trouble of upgrading I want it to give me features worth upgrading for. I wanted a 64-bit Windows. But it just isn't wor...
Correction, the PS3 doesn't have a wireless router. It's just a wireless network card. But that's enough. They all have the ability to connect to a wireless router out of the box. No add-on. Nothing extra to buy. What does a 360 cost if you buy all the add-ons that make it like a PS3? And it still won't have games on HD discs.
He comes across as a complainer. I didn't read much of his diatribe though. I bet he was also one of the people who cried about the PS3 being too expensive. Sony just can't win with people like that. The PS3 is too expensive. Okay, we redesigned it. No more PS2 games and that cut the costs so now we dropped the price for you. Wah, I want to play PS2 games, it's too expensive. Some people want everything but for free.
As for having too many models, if they didn't cry so much we'...
I hope Service Pack 1 makes me want to reinstall Vista. If not these guys cracked something nobody cares about. Vista so far is a big dud. It isn't trash but it also isn't worth upgrading to. It really doesn't do much XP can't already do.
Toshiba should start doing something about this. Does anyone even sell Cell computers? Toshiba could design systems the military can use. Why buy a PS3? Because it's a cheap way to get the Cell. I wonder how much it would cost to sell 300 Cell workstations?
If you want to spend hundreds of millions but they don't have to. Scientists know what they're doing with the Cell processor and how to use the power. And the PS3 is a cheap way to get Cell computers.
No, the PS2 was the console that was supposed to be powerful enough that terrorists could use it to launch missiles. If that's true just think what they could do with the PS3. With power comes responsibility. I just hope Jack Thompson doesn't figure this out.
You again clown? Blu-ray is the future. All HDTVs will soon be 1080p and if you spend the money for that you want the best video you can get. DVD just doesn't look as good as Blu-ray on 1080p HDTVs. Sony is proving how smart they are. People laughed at them over Blu-ray and even said HDMI 1.3 will never matter. Soon everyone will want both and when that happens Blu-ray will sell like hotcakes.
Exhaust - I wasn't talking about Yahoo though, just the guy who wrote the article. He seems to be kissing up to Microsoft just in case they end up buying Yahoo.
