That's stupid. So in the U.S. we have to play a kiddie game while in Europe they get an adult version? That makes no sense at all. Plain stupidity. I wasn't planning on buying the game but now I'm really sure I won't. They should at least offer a mature version and a kiddie version. Don't make this big mistake.
I find it funny 1up.com is even reporting this. Gamers don't care what those user reviews say. But look at an example of something that matters on metacritic.com. Professional reviews are the ones people look at. EGM or someone at 1up.com at least gave Gears of War 2 an A and admitted it carried over several flaws from the original. Resistance 2 on the other hand improved on everything and got a B+. Those scores will tell gamers more about the games. While a B+ isn't horrible it shows how the...
There were problems with the game online. Last week. And look at the date this thing was written. It was published October 30th, last Thursday. Since then LittleBigPlanet has been fine. Someone should pay more attention to dates before posting stuff on this site. Why do we care about garbage like this? Maybe we should post an article about how Halo 2 has some bugs in it. Would 360 gamers like to read about that? I'm sure the person who posted this non-review is a 360 gamer.
The problem with this non-review is he wrote it last week. I've been having no trouble with the game. I haven't published anything but I've played the regular missions and lots of online and offline user created missions with no problem. The search feature needs work but I'm sure it will be improved.
I didn't buy LittleBigPlanet expecting it to be perfect right away. I think if we all expect a game like this to be perfect it would never get released. It's a compicated game. Med...
"I'm sure this has far more to do with, Sony and MM fearing a potential backlash over copyright infringement."
If that was true though why allow the PS Eye to be used? Can't we just take a photo of anything and print it and shoot the photo with the PS Eye? I wonder how that would end up looking? It might work.
I don't know about other people but from now on I'll buy my movies on Blu-ray instead of DVD. I just got an HDTV so Blu-ray makes sense. They don't cost that much more than DVDs. I remember when DVD came out. VHS stuck around for quite a while. Then you couldn't find tapes much anymore and everything was DVD. DVD can still hold a lot of the movies but as more people get 1080p HDTVs they'll want better quality movies. Digital downloads won't compete with that.
The Gears of War franchise is just overhyped. That doesn't make it better.
"thats the logic of a sony fan. 360 fans are like so what if the game got a low rating its still a good game. thats why the sony fans are always "always" in every 360 article."
You have got to be joking. Xbox 360 fanboys are the ones who went on Metacritic and gave LittleBigPlanet horrible scores to try and hurt it. Resistance 2 deserves much better than an 8.5. The reviewer talks mostly about the features removed from the single player mode. I guess he does...
This 8.5 score is actually lame. If you read the review they didn't like the changes to the single player game. Besides that they thought it was great. The single player game is nothing more than a small part of the game you use to get better at the game. Then you go online and play the real game. Maybe Insomniac should leave single player mode out if including it ends up hurting their score. I think these games need two reviews now. One for single player and one for online. I will be playing...
What's funny about that dumb review is the headline says Resistance 2 lacks the identity of Resistance. But read the final paragraph. It says the game has the same problem as the original, no identity. Did one person write the review and another the headline?
I believe I read quite a while ago about Blu-ray going up to 100GB. This story is really lame. Who cares. Blu-ray already won. Who even cares about this topic anymore?
That review was a LittleBitAwful.
The PS2 was limited on memory too but everyone learned how to work with it. The PS3 has as much memory as the 360 it's just used differently. You don't develop games the same way for both consoles. That's the secret. It's a well known fact now that if you make the game for the PS3 it's very easy to port to the 360 but not the other way around. I don't think Sony can put enough memory in their consoles to make some people happy though. Consoles are always limited on RAM. The only reason you do...
Memo to Volition: Don't port games to the PS3. I don't hear anyone else claiming that the PS3 is a problem anymore. You just have to be smart and create your game for the PS3 and port to the 360. Everyone has known this for a long time. Get with the program already.
I hate these dumb lists. Complain, complain, complain. Sure the game could include more features but it's still a great game. Maybe the sequel will include more.
I'm finally using Vista on my home computers and it's fine. The big problem I have with it is it doesn't seem much different from XP. How many of the promised features in Windows 7 will Microsoft dump? That was the real problem with Vista. It took years to create an operating system that isn't much different from XP.
This clown is an idiot. What about all the huge problems Microsoft has had with gamers getting online, just last Christmas even? He must forget about all that. Some people just have no patience. Any online problems with this game will be solved.
I see she fixed her blog but doesn't understand why LittleBigPlanet was made. What can we expect from someone who knows nothing about games though. Just another ninny talking about something they know nothing about.
"I said this many times before...those that still think bluray is doomed, should really WATCH a bluray."
Now that I have an HDTV I can finally watch Blu-rays and see the difference. Thank you George Bush for my check that paid for most of my TV.
This is great to see. My company has a contract with Microsoft and they really rip you off. We tried to to pay for it one year and they turned all of our computers into illegal Windows computers. We couldn't get security updates even. The only way to solve it was to pay them. Windows XP started something evil. Every copy of Windows needs its own registration number. If you have over 1000 computers good luck keeping that straight. So they sell you an unlocked copy of Windows. And then force yo...
