Edge, Joystiq, GameSpot all give it 5 out of 10 or less. Its only got a few positive reviews the rest are negative or very mixed. Im stil gettin it cuz I pre ordered it for $35 from newegg some time ago during a special they were running. I know ill have a blast playing this with my 8 and 12 year old, especially when they have friends over or we take it to grandmas house for thanksgiving and other holidays.
This is why games like Mario, Zelda, and other long lasting franchises are important. These are what gaming will be remembered for. Mario exists in more mediums than just games. But the article is kind of pointless because how much stuff is really "remembered" after 100 years? Lots of things, including games, will be remembered because things are so well documented these days. This wasn't afforded to many things from the past. Pointless article really.
Obvious troll is obviously trolling. If you enjoy these kinds of games you know what to expect and that's more than OK. These games are meant for families and most of these message board trolls are just mad they don't have families or friends to play games with. Their best friends are the peeps they play on Xbox live with.
Most of the people dissing this game would let a 7 year old mash out on call of duty all day and see no problem with that. This looks like a great holiday family game and could sell some Wii u systems. Pay no mind to the feeble minded fools that can't see gaming goes beyond their simple tastes. There is room for games like this in the market. In fact, the market needs games like this to provide some differentiation. It can't be all shooters zombie games and sports for frig sake. I can...
So you have played the game and put it through its paces enough to give ur great opinion. Shut up troll...
This has many bad reviews but it will sell like crazy because its bundled with a Wiimote. Remember Wii play? It was thecrappiest best selling game ever. I'm also not too sure the bad review score are indicative of the games quality. Most of these game site reviewers probably didn't play it with some children or older people, which is kind of who this title is meant for. I'll be playing this with my grandma, wife, kids and the rest of my family at Thanksgiving. I'm sure this w...
If Amazon was forced to pay taxes in every state they sold in and was forced to be equal with retailers then you would have an argument. If e-tailers got the same price breaks as retailers it would be the retailers who would be getting the unequal treatment. If you disagree then you have no idea how economics work. Its the hidden cost of operating online only... retailers typically get better prices on items because there is more associated costs with selling goods in store. Its just the way ...
I love Amazon and use them a lot, but I dont see how they expect to get the same price breaks as a physical retailer. They have a lot less overhead (no physical stores) to worry about and, overall, have a lot less visibility to the average consumer than a retail chain. Retail chains need those price breaks to make any sort of profit and they get that by allowing Nintendo plenty of shelf space for their products. Amazon does not do that and companies rarely give e-tailers the same price breaks...
This game is very frustrating for newcomers as it doesn't tell you what to do that well. Once you know what to do and how to play it is a blast and is so sublime. But this game really needed a nice big instruction book to detail moves that you can purchase in the in game store and stuff like that. The one trend Nintendo is following is doing away with booklets but I hate it. I like having a nice manual to go along with my games especially ones that need it, like this. If they are saving m...
This is pure flamebait and should be banished from this site. Out of all the overrated franchises out there this writer has the nerve to attack what is considered the best franchise in all of gaming... wow. Enjoy the new CoD and battlefield.
BOOM! That right there is a TRUE statement. Ubisoft has no one but themselves to blame. Lazy ports dont deserve sales and they shouldnt be rewarded with great slaes for practicing that cockiness. Thye are bound to lose a lot of money with their committment to unproven systems...

Until people realize that Nintendo is the only company offering online features that arent hidden behind a pay wall. I know tons of gamers who are not buying into next gen for a few years. Some only just got 360 or ps3 1 or 2 years ago. But these are the same gamers that will get a Wii U because it is, and will be, cheaper and will have a stellar lineup that simply cannot be had on any other system. We will see, we will definitely see and a lot of people are gonna be e...
Yeah theyve been there, with crap titles. AC3 was the worst in the series, Zombi U is a joke of a game, and Rabbids? lol. They delayed a FINISHED product in Rayman in order to release it on other consoles and it STILL sold better on the Wii U. Screw them, I wont buy their products because I am fed up with them releasing yearly titles of the same games. Ill get Rayman at $20 cuz I like Rayman and will buy their games if they release some good ones, like Watch Dogs. But if they release crappy p...
Nah they need some great indie titles and new franchises or re energizing of older franchises. Screw Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. Those series are dead and those companies shpuld move on already. So people dont want another mario or zelda game but they want SF, RE, or FF? Thats just nonsensical. Give me X, Fire Emlem x SMT, New Starfox Metroid, Zelda, etc plus a bunch of great and original indeie titles and Im good. Tired of this assembly line gaming we have been experienc...
Ubisoft can go to hell as far as I am concerned. They are the new EA. Milk every series worth a lick and then complain they arent selling anymore. Delay a once Wii U exclusive to bring it to other platforms only to watch it die slow on the shelves for those other platforms. What a joke they have become. They wonder why Splinter Cell Blacklist isnt selling, but its not only NOT selling on the U. Its not doing good on ANY platform because they are miling every series they have and not changing ...
The delay is probably a good thing. They were spreading themselves too thin working on too many versions at one time. I am still enjoying a lot of PS360 games and have a lot to look forward to on my Wii U so Im kind of glad for this delay. This looks like a game I want to sink some time into, so the more polished it is the better. Plus Im not nearly done with GTA 5 and I dont think I have the time for two open world games of that size so close together.
And you know it wont look this good on the U how exactly? Have you seen it personally? How is it "realistic" to assume it wont look this good? Your post contradicts itself because you say that your not saying it wont look this good on the Wii U but then say it wont look nearly as good as these PC screenshots... Troll much?
Persoanlly, I want them to do a proper Sonic Adveture in the style of something like Mario Sunshine. Thats kinda what they attempted with that early this gen 360 game, but failed miserably. Why not just let Nintendo make a Sonic game? Who would have though tthat Sonic Mario Kart clone would become so much better than the Sonic games?!
just a hint of advice... start the game on easy then switch to normal after you get the hang of things. It can be a very frustrating experience at the start if you dont know what you're doing. You cant just run n gun, you have to be methoidcal. Its true survival horror, not CoD Zombies as some have expected it to be. Great game though! A steal at $20!
I love my Wii u, but the virtual console has become a running joke for a while now. Seriously, with so many classic titles in the stable why the hell are pinball and baseball the new vc releases? I thought things would really pick up after Earthbound but they've gotten dire. A few good capcom releases over the past couple months, but where is the good stuff? With link between worlds coming I'd love to play through link to the past on the gamepad. Its a very strange strategy they have ...
