Really? An online game!? Well, Sunset Overdrive is online, but it's mostly for challenges and co op, not a f2p MT filled game. I really hope they make a new one that game is still amazing. I just played through it again a couple months back.

Of course there will be sequels. This is The same company that turned a trilogy into a dozen releases by way of remakes and reboots. Count on sequels, then next gen there will be remastered version then remastered collections, then a remake of the first game using a slightly new engine. Also, there will be a movie or TV show somewhere along the line.
If only they could make good Final Fantasy games again, they wouldn't need to remake all the good ones from the past. FF7 turned out ok, but I don't like what they're doing by breaking it up into multiple games spanned over generations.

Well yeah it's an entirely new idea for gaming. They are literally trying to create Netflix for gaming, not hold on to some antiquated model of how games should be consumed. How do you expect the business to grow when the biggest barrier to attracting new gamers into the fold is the cost?! You can buy an Xbox and Gamepass for 2 years by paying $25 a month. No $500-700 upfront. Just $25 a month. That's huge for a lot of people.

Wow, I can get behind a remaster of such great games. What's crazy is how good the OG versions hold up. They don't look mind blowing like back then. But since gameplay is king, they are still great to play! My only question is, why not just make a new one altogether? I guess they need to gauge interest? Max Payne is still well regarded as a franchise and Remedy has a good track record for the most part.

I don't know if you remember but there were complaints back then about how the Tomb Raider games had started getting stale. So then they remade them during the Xbox 360/PS3 Gen. That's when everyone started calling it an uncharted clone even though they started rebooting them before Uncharted came out. Then Crystal Dynamics took over during the PS4 Xbox One gen And that's when we got the new versions of Tomb Raider. It's all just growth and evolution...
It's funny you call them Uncharted clones when the first Uncharted was called a Tomb Raider clone with a guy named Drake. You must be too young to remember. It's like when they do a remake of song and some young buck hears the old version and they're like, "hey they're copying such and such" 🤷🤦🙉
They came out but the loud squeaky wheels complained, so they go the the grease and devs started to created FPS service games instead 🤷 We can't have nice things because people only seem to want to play Fortnite and other F2P.
It's sad because these people will write the game off as junk and then miss out of the great things thinking they don't like it, when they usually just didn't put in the time because it didn't fit their personal idea of what it should be! These people should develop their own versions and see how they turn out lol
I always laugh at that argument that something isn't a "real" version of what the devs say it is. It's the same thing with Ass Creed. If it wasn't a REAL Tomb Raider game, it wouldn't say TOMB RAIDER on the box 🤦 Instead, just say you didn't like the rebooted reboot of Tomb Raider. Tina of people did though. I thought they were awesome personally.
Well Saints Row 1 and 2 had Stillwater, which I'm pretty sure was Michigan/Detroit. That was a decent rep of Midwest.
