This is an industry-wide trend this generation. After the mess caused by big games like cyberpunk nobody wants to release a game to that kind of backlash. Look at the hit CDPR rep took after that. Most 2d games hold up well. But those PS1 games where the groundbreaking graphics were the main draw have not stood the test if time. Some for sure, but not many. This is why I like remakes! There's a lot of games where the vision was just too grand for the technology at the time. Good devs found ways around it. I can still be enthralled with PS1 era Final Fantasy for example. But the way that Resident Evil Remakes turned out makes me wish more companies did that with more of these older ...
They made so much money off PC, it really doesn't make sense to not release day and date on PC. While we argue about Xbox vs PlayStation, PC players with high end rigs get the best of both. The market is changing so much and the main consoles are so similar, we may be closer to the "one console" market than we realize.
I'm always down for a good old school platformer. But full price? This looks like a great Plus/Gamepass game!

Just get Microsoft to do the emulation! They got some of those old Xbox / Xbox 360 games to look and run better than some brand new games! And why the hell are the PS3 games cloud only still? Glad I still have my launch PS3, even though it sounds like a jet engine.

Late 2023 will bring the PS5 pro. TCL investor meeting spilled the beans. The current model is too bulky and doesn't include enough memory. There will be a remodel with a sleeker design and more memory. 2TB should be minimum. I dream of a time like the SNES era where one-off games were the norm. No sequels. No reboots. Every new game felt like a new game. I'm not against sequels or anything like that. What I hate is when theres 4- 5 sequels then a reboot with 3 sequels. Let's get some new new up in here it's starting to feel stale 💯✌️

It's not an excuse. The games good with what's there, so I'm confused why all the hoopla about nothing. If it was a bad game like Halo 5 was, then ok complain it's not up to par. I hated 5. Of all the big games recently released, this is the one I have played and enjoyed the most. I like it more than even Horizon FW and that was my most anticipated.

Resident Evil 4 is the holy Grail of RE games and I'm glad it's being remade! These are the kind of remakes I can get behind. No more of this crappy slightly enhanced remaster crap, give us total remakes like this!
