They could potentially pull some customers away from MS , but it's going to come down to pricepoint and if they keep online gaming and cross-party chat FREE OF CHARGE.

Not much Sony can do other than keep pumping out a mixture of new IP's and their franchises , and drop the price when they can and pick up the advertising some then.
There's just not enough big 3rd parties supporting the system with their big games , and the pool of adults who are willing to game on the go on a dedicated handheld isn't a very large one nowadays. The market has changed with rise of smartphones for adults.
Great Move by Sony. He is going to be a Plus for Playstation.
Can't really expect a bunch of big guns for launch.

Not sure why so many people forget about Puppeteer when talking about 2013 exclusives. It looks like it's going to be a fantastic game.
That E3 demo of The Last of Us really shook me.
I don't think Sony really needs to be 1st or even come out at the same time , but giving Microsoft about a full year headstart in North America ..... and an 18 months headstart in Europe would be very unwise.
I think they'll opt for an early 2014 launch for the PS4 and mid-year for PAL regions.
Launch (or summer) games - Guerrilla , Evolution , SuckerPunch , MLB The Show 14 , Planetside 2 .... and Uncharted 4 for holiday 2014 !
It would be a nice for all of the people that didn't get PS3's this gen that are now looking into getting a PS4. The more reasons to entice people , the better.
