Yes. Precisely. To put it simply, PS5 represents the equivalent of buying a brand new PC. It'll still run the same, or a similar OS. It's still x86. It'll run the same stuff, but better, and it'll have the power to run simulations that's beyond the capabilities of the Jaguar cpu cores. What it basically means is PS5 will feel like exactly that. The next Sony machine, unlike previous generations, where new machines felt like a whole new product entirely...

I do agree with you on most parts. But Switch is certainly no mid gen refresh. I can't play my WiiU games on Switch. I had to buy Zelda and Mario kart twice. Switch is a new generation for Nintendo. But claiming that it's not competing with Ps4 and Xbone is just stupid.
