Correction: open world games were absolutely nothing new 9 years ago. The big breakthrough of commercially successful open world came way before that, around 2001. Really GTA3 kicked it off. In a short time it was followed by stuff like Mafia, Elder Scrolls 3 and Vice City.

Oh, is it? I'm first and foremost a PS gamer, but stating dumb shit like that simply comes across as ignorant and uninformed. A lot can be said about MK. It's unforgiving, super tight, frustrating, rewarding... but one thing it is not, is overrated. You might not like it, and that's ok. But if most everyone except for you holds a different opinion, then you're objectively wrong.

That's weird. I have a couple of Switch cartridges too, but I absolutely prefer to buy Switch games digitally, so I don't have to change cartridges all the time. Seems quite inconvenient for a mobile platform.
