First, who gives a crap about ps2 games. It would be less $ to go on craigslist and buy a used ps2 and games instead of $10 or $15 a game.
Second, if you do want to play ps2 on ps4 then these are just the first few games. More to come. Nothing to get bent out of shape about (and actually about half the games are outstanding if I remember correctly).
May want to wait until Xbox sells another 15 million consoles before talking about "beating" PlayStation, lol.

Adding you. My kids are 7, 4. Ps4, ps3s,pstv, wiiu, etc here. Kids prob play more than I do, though.
Just picked up mgsv, can't complain so far, and I've played every MG's oddly enough, besides metal gear (msx/nes). I've beaten snakes revenge to portable ops, peace walker, all of the rest. I don't see what peoples complaints are so far, then again I am just getting intobit.
