Its definitely worth $150 for the elite considering the scuf is $250- $300. The elite is made of more premium materials vs scuf. This gears elite controller is pricey at $200 but $100 less than plain looking scufs.
Only problem is where are you gonna buy a good gaming pc for $500? You'd have to buy a pc at well over $1000 to perform to the same quality of a Scorpio OR Neo because they're coded to the metal. They're optimized specifically for gaming and don't have the same bottlenecks as PCs. These consoles have the CPU and GPU on the same die chip whereas the PC is separate and takes longer to process. Also most likely you'll be using the full Windows 10 OS to play your Xbox games on...

Plus the Scorpio will be coded to the metal unlike PC. That's makes it more powerful , efficient, and optimized than more expensive PCs. It won't have a heavy OS like a full windows 10 and bottlenecks that a PC deals with. With PC a lot of power is wasted. The Scorpio will be a beast and can't be compared to anything else.
Xbox is fine. They messed up with always online, DRM, and weaker specs with the Xbox One. The 360 sold just as many as the PS3 did. There's always going to be a device to uprise against a top brand. Sony isn't releasing all 50 VR games at once. We know their pattern. That's 50 VR games releasing over the next few years. Keep in mind some of those VR games are only a hour long to complete.
Well I feel Uncharted 4 will be the best game as far as campaign for 2016. It was fun. I liked it. Gears of War 4 will have the best multiplayer. Anyway usually Microsoft releases a bunch of games at the end of the year. That's their pattern.

The haters want it to go. The fans want it to stay. I'm sure Sony has shareholders ready for them to drop certain parts of their business. Movies come to mind as something they should leave alone, it doesn't have to exist. We at least know that the Xbox brand will be around for a while especially from the positive feedback concerning the Scorpio releasing next year. That news is reassuring to shareholders I'm sure. When you have a company like Microsoft worth 260 billion they aren't going anywhere. They said they were commited to Xbox gaming and proved it with 2 new skus. The only ones doubting are Sony fans. Xbox fans don't doubt. Nintendo (18 billion) is worth more than Sony (17 billion). Let me know when consoles can run big programs like Pro Tools 12 or Adobe Premiere. Or when you can connect a external blue ray burner, printer, or midi interface. That's what a pc can do. Let me know when you buy a decent pc for $600 or less. PC games are way easier to hack. You also have to worry about settings, viruses, drivers, updates, or a big bulky pc under your living room tv. This gen is not over, so it's just yet to be seen. Nvidia has proven cloud computation works in test videos. That's something they're also working on also. But just like how Sony shows you games not coming out for 3-5 years, let's allow MS the same time grace period especially for a technology this advance.
I've tried VR and it's not impressive to me. It's definitely not for everybody. Nothing beats playing on a TV. Playing twitch shooters will prove that VR isn't for ordinary gaming. All of that along with the side effects of VR just makes it a no go. Sony said some of their VR games are just an hour long.
