Director of Panzer Dragoon...say no more ;) It was definitely a unique strategy game.
Yes it would =)
MGS V and Destiny!!
I think when their solution for the 24 hour check-in was the Xbox 360, they finally hit rock bottom and had to seriously take in all the negative press from the reveal and E3.
You have to come out of the gates strong (positive press, tons of hype) and had those strict DRM policies been in place, I just didn't see that happening for Xbox One. Now they have a fighting chance.
If you think about it, this information was released just a few days before E3. Why not wait till the big show?
It was to gauge consumer reaction and they got it. I didn't think they would drop the policies that fast but they obviously wised up and saw the wormhole they were going down with those policies in place at launch or after. Now we can get back to focusing on where it really matters...the Games =)
Nice list TripC50. Just curious, why do you think DKC: Tropical Freeze will be better than Super Mario World 3D?
I can't wait for both. Definitely can't go wrong with either one ;)
I've been waiting for a Killer Instinct remake or sequel for sometime now...and like you said it looks really good. This was probably the biggest surprise E3 game announcement (for myself at least) since there wasn't a leak or any talk of it possibly showing up beforehand.
The anti-gravity tracks and online play could make this the best Mario Kart yet!
Great list of games there! Looking forward to finding out more about "The Order: 1886".
It really looks sharp and I can see how this could easily encompass a 10 year series span. Will be ground breaking on the console scene.
A little late for April Fools...LOL.
It's unreal, first we witness Nintendo's outlandish decisions (console name, lack of games, slow OS, no advertising) and then Xbox One debuts and has tripped and fumbled more than anyone could have possibly predicted. I hope at E3 they reverse some of their online and game policies. They are boosting Nintendo and Sony's stock as we speak.
Surely the backlash of the reveal and now the 24 hour check in has the execs thinking twice. I'm sure the infrastructur...
I can't imagine this policy staying in place long. Even if you have 100MB down, there are outages and ISP issues that plague all of us each year at some point. That's ridiculous if you have an internet outage for longer then 24 hours you'll be stuck with a paperweight till it comes back up.
Surely this was announced now to gauge consumer reaction...and they sure got one.
For your list I vote Resident Evil, Metal Gear and Jurassic Park...I would be all over those Lego styled games ;)
What about Lego Contra?
ND went all out, even more so then usual on this one!! Other devs should take notes =)
I agree, growing with the NES, SNES, Genesis,Dreamcast,Saturn, PS1, N64...so many awesome experiences with each generation. It's amazing how far gaming has come and this year will truly be epic with 2 new platforms making their debut ;) I'm hoping Crash returns at some point on the PS4, that would be so sweet.
We all knew it would be good but man they really came through with this one! What a great swan song for the PS3 =) Imagine what ND will do with the PS4...!!!
Dark Souls II and MGSV!!! Bring it =)
Really popular on the PC for people that like a more realistic FPS with a WWII theme. It's a lot of fun and this latest expansion rocks ;)
I forgot about Crimson Skies...definitely a classic. Could make a great release on XBLA.
