Yes I know, I have played both pretty much thanks to my friend's import system. They are both great games, yet I wouldn't hype them up as much as you do since they look like both good next-gen games, not something far beyond my imagination. I say the same for Gears of War too, so this is being objective, what you are doing is fanboyism, but I will not blame you since it's your nickname as well, good luck in your life. Oh by the way are you aware of how many bubbles you have left? Side-effects...

*clicks ignore for fanboys*
I hate this type of comparisons, yeah PS2 var 50x Dreamcast right? Now some person says this, and we argue on that? Who gives a damn, I want good games, I want my MGS4, I wont use PS3 to save the world, coding or supercomputing. So why should I give a damn even it that BS-type comparison is true? I want games now!

Has no chance against Colin McRae Rally with these visuals.

Since how many years we have been using PC systems with 400w power supplies? Now PS3 is contributing into Global warming? Like my Xbox 360 isn't heating up.

Every device that consumes power and produces heat, do contribute into that, pointless to argue on this subject.

It's really funny how people can't still tell the difference between CG and real-time. Thanks to Karibu, for explanation and reference. I wonder if people will still talk about this as a real-time accomplishment after this though.

Um jpod, games still use CGI videos right? Wouldn't they encourage developers to use this video technology in their games? You sound like unaware of CG stuff within games.

Comparing me to who? Well I don't directly comment about anyone on this site, but I pretty much know that DJ is on the side of PlayStation 3, yet I think it's his choice. If I think that someone is beyond reality and into the portal of fanboyism, I click Ignore. I am on neither side, I am a Xbox 360 owner right now, you can check my gamertag from my profile, I guess I have played 360 alot, and I am not getting a PS3 until price goes down and MGS4 is up.

Seriously, I scored 1800...

Any CPU is capable of doing graphical calculations, wouldn't have cutting edge effects like HDR, of DX10 capabilities, but still ANY CPU can do such calculations and reflect it to the screen if it has direct access output.

Cell is a great CPU, and deepbrown is right there, Xbox 360 relies more on GPU, whereas Cell and RSX work together as a whole, RSX is supposed to complete the task started by cell. At least that's what Sony and IBM said long time ago, and if they are not doin...

Yeah, 150 points for Phil Harrison. I wish he could just be honest all the time. I wish all the executives from all companies could be honest. Well I dont think so though, since this is "business" for them and "gaming" for us.

Did you know that Forza 2 runs at smooth 60fps without a frame drop, makes physics calculations upto 360 per second? Of course you didn't, fanboyism is just blinding.

This is not about games, this topic is about the future of movies actually, when did Resistance get into this?

Oh well... we should go back to the subject before flames grow. I am thinking of some facts after reading those posts up there.

Forcing consumers to buy an unproven format is wrong. Agreed

If it's about freewill, MS should have supported both Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Agreed

HD-DVD will win. NOPE
Blu-Ray will win. Well, I t...

My god, why are they paying so much money for yesterday's technology? Didn't they say it's not about rumble, bur movement this time around?

Ken? Phil? where are you?... :)

Lol anyways, this should have been done long time ago, before getting into trouble. I am glad that rumble and force feedback will make a comeback. I'd miss them on my PS3 when I'd get the system.

Did you even think for a second before posting that? Can you really compare two companies responsible for these systems? Xbox 360 and Dreamcast.

Well go back and check with Dreamcast, it was missing alot of things even though I loved the system. For example one of the biggest issues: EA support. Today every company wants to support 360 (other than some PlayStation backgrounded companies).

360 already sold alot, Dreamcast was good but never had that impact. The po...

Well, achievements system is addictive. It truly gives the sense of accomplishment. You can just go tell your friend "hey, I have beaten Gears of War on insane difficulty". Could you lie about that? No way, it's already a medal in your gamer profile.

My friend for example, got 1000 points from Test Drive Unlimited, he did every single race, and he went though every single free road on the game (crazy...there is also an achievement for that too). Whoever takes a look a...

Well it's a matter of choice, I have my laptop connected to another monitor here in my place, so whenever I watch movies, use media applications etc. I use that. So it can do anything besides Blu-ray playback. That makes such goodies non-interesting for me right?

So I care about games, not those and I just need Xbox 360 for now. Till MGS4 is out there, and some other great games like that.

As for the price drop issue, well Sony shouldn't wait long.

Well also all of the cars in Forza will be customizable, and will have detailed damage models, let's keep that in mind too.

6960d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, just bump into a wall at 175mph in GTHD. Then do it in Forza 2. Compare the images after that, and see which one looks better. It's always about "what's under the hood" not eyecandy.

Well, the graphical gap between CG and real-time graphics ain't so big in this new generation, so the difference should be rather explained as "complexity of the scene".

If you have seen Battlefield: Bad Company demo (which is said to be realtime) it comes pretty close to Killzone, minus the complexity of the scene. Movements, facial animations, and graphics just look great. But will the game play that way? I don't think so.

So I don't expect Killzone ...

6960d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well that's one game I didn't care about at all. Most people didn't care either. Bur Killzone 2 is hyped beyond whatever we know, and is supposed to look amazing, supposed to play amazing and become the "halo killer" in some people's minds. It's a big task.

Maybe Guerilla didn't have a plan for their game to become the Halo Killer but thanks to people, fanboys and magazines, somehow first game and Halo series were matched in a competition.

Now they are...

They should be more open, and less arrogant. Well said. If that'd happen, I'd just start to like Sony like I did when PlayStation was out. (Don't get it wrong though, I like PlayStation 3, yet I don't like Sony and the strategy of Sony. Do I like Microsoft? hell no! I do like Nintendo, and that's one company doing it right. I just own a 360 from this gen right now, so I think I am being objective about this).
